I have a heartbreaking thought that may want you getting your birdbox blindfolds ready.

The final end… We all know Master Chief is the hero who has luck. The years Cortana has spent with him, will pay off in ways where he will be able to get close to her. The final decision will be Cortana exterminating humanity, or Master Chief being the only one who has to decommission Cortana.
But Cortana will end up thanking Chief before he does.

An interesting prediction. But isn’t it a bit early to discuss the ending of the saga considering Infinite’s the third game? If I understood correctly, the saga will consist of four or more mainline games.
We should see more inspiration from Blade Runner 2049, where you see a love-relationship between a shunned non-human and an AI. Except the non-human and even the AI show more humanity than real humans. It’s this sort of irony that would make Halo more adult themed. Now it’s just getting silly, with a non-relatable bulk of armour feeling romantic love for an AI-copy of his surrogate mother.
I mean, the relationship between Chief and Cortana should have never extended beyond friendship (oh the banter in Combat Evolved). Halo 4’s ending feels awkward, it should have stayed at a level of symbiosis, where they needed each other to survive. The premise was there, Cortana reached the end of her lifespan. But what does (romantic) love got to do with it.

Exactly, trilogy was changed to saga and Halo Infinite will be the 3rd game. There will be at least one, if not more games. More than enough time for twists and turns.
