Prediction: Forge Delay will impact Review Scores!

When critics review games, they don’t wait till all the Add-ons are added. They review it when it launches. Since Forge is releasing in December, I predict that the absense of the game mode will impact Halo’5s review scores negatively. Forge is very important to the Halo community! Also, think about all of the people who don’t know that forge is delayed. It could potentially be an uproar.

The halo community got through MCC. They can get through this

The community got through the MCC by playing other games. The MCC is dead.

I dont even remember h4 reviews talking bout forge.

I still find matches every day, and nearly every xbox one sold now comes with the MCC so…yep.

I don’t care about GOTY, 343 needs to regain the trust of the Halo fanbase…and besides i’ll be too busy playing the actual game modes to worry about forge the first couple months.

Forge wouldn’t be a huge aspect of the game for most people anyways. Why would the game get a negative score for a future DLC anyways? Doesn’t make sense

All of this is predicated on the assumption that reviewers will not be given access to try this additional content. We don’t know if that is the case.

Because it’s expected to be a feature at launch.

GTA V launched without multiplayer and it got awesome reviews. Halo will do just fine.

Thank you.
I have yet to see anybody in my circle of friends play Forge for more than 10 minutes each 3 months.

Is there any data that shows how forge impacted the reviews of H3, H:R, and H4? Because in all the reviews I ever read for those games I have no memory of forge being a factor.

Good point! Didn’t think of that. But if that’s the case then GTA was reviewed for its story and gameplay ? Halo 5 launches with multi, so it’s going to be reviewed for its multiplayer and story. A big part of the multiplayer is forge/customs, and they mix together nicely.

I think Ign briefly talks about it in the Halo 4 review

Probably will, but I personally don’t care.

It’ll do fine, most if not all of those “review” sites are filled with people who have horrible taste in games. I mean they gave destiny ttk 90s, 100s, and 9/10 which is foolish because that game is awful even with ttk dlc. People just need to learn how to formulate their own opinions on something instead of looking on the net for someone else’s opinion.

And reviewers are already informed of its delay.

If they don’t, you know its a bad reviewer who has no idea what he’s talking about.

The only thing I ever remember reviews talking about forge was something along the lines of…

“The tools seem promising, but we’ll have to wait and see what ideas the community comes up with.”

This situation is no different from Halo 4 and Spartan Ops.

Reviewers barely acknowledge forge

Atleast with seperate release it will have more attention this time

Basically this.

Halo reviews are typically 70% campaign based with the rest focusing on multiplayer.

Reviews don’t exist to tell you what you think of the game, they’re there to tell you what someone else thought of the game so you can get an impression of the game from someone who spent time with it. Reviewers still expect you to form your own opinion.
Unless it’s a reviewer you find yourself completely agreeing with 9 out of ten times, going to just one source for a review and then basing all thoughts on the matter off that review is irresponsible and not the reviewers fault. Reviews are helpful.

Well, one review won’t have much affect on the metacritic review, which is becoming the holy grail of reviews. Doesn’t sound like this would turn out to be a big deal.
