Precursor, Flood, and Mendicant Bias

Here is my theory on the three. The Precursor’s creatd the Flood as a “revenge” against the Forerunners. This is supported as when humans would as the “Timeless One” about the Flood, the answer drove some of them insane and even suicide. The Timeless One says “our answer is at hand.” Most likely the Flood. The Precursor’s sent out ships with flood biomass (the white powder) to other Precursors. Possibly to work on the stuff or to soon release it to the Forerunners. The ships got lost and millions of years later crashed and then were found by the humans. This though could be slightly unlikely as the crashed ships were not recognized as Precursor in origin.Notice that when Mendicant Bias tested a Halo ring at Charum Hakkor, the ring disappeared along with Mendicant and The Timeless One. Next thing you know, Mendicant is working for the Flood. My guess is that The Timeless One is “immune” to the Flood. Basically the Flood are genetically made to follow Precursor orders. The Timeless One somehow had hijacked the Halo and had it taken to the Gravemind. Then the Gravemind persuaded Mendicant to join him.I feel like The Timeless One will play a significantly larger role in Cryptum 2 and 3. Anybody agree or disagree with any of these theories of mine?

I’ve always wondered whether the Flood were an act of revenge created by the Precursors. Great minds think alike eh? As Halo: Cryptum is part of a book trilogy, perhaps we will have more answers in time. I’ve not read Cryptum though, who is this Timeless One?

Also, for those who do not wish to know about Cryptum yet, you may want to add a spoilers notice.

The Timeless One is the name given to the Precursor in the book. He was locked in some sort of slipspace chamber (that’s my guess.)

Hvnt read cryptum (want to) but the flood is probably a revenge “tool” created by some evil mind. now look at the flood. No master. No control.

not possible, because it was the ancient humans who first discovered the Flood

Or the Timeless One is what controls the Gravemind. I’m willing to bet one was formed after humanity booted the Flood out the first time. Mendicant Bias was created to combat the Gravemind, so the Timeless One communicated through the Gravemind for 43 years and convinced Bias to join his side. After that, Bias took the Halo to Charum Hakkor, freed the Timeless One and went to parts unknown.

Just a rough theory.

Finally someone who shares my thinking on this guy whatever this timeless one is i 100% think that the gravemind and the flood are the underlings of whatever faction the timeless one is from.

Like at the end of H3 the Gravemind says “I am a timeless curse” Flood have noy been around forever sounds like somebody is talking through him.

The flood is like zombies that want the cartogrefer
