Precursor Clones of Spartan IV's ?

I think the Precursors will be the main enemy for the new Halo trilogy* . .

I’ll give 2 reasons why I think this . .

  1. Precursor | Halo Alpha | Fandom and http://www.halopedia.org/Precursor. . The links provide all of the info that is known about the Precursors.

  2. The Precursors can be considered bad, because they made the Flood to kill the Forerunners.

(I think the enemies at the beginning and middle of Halo 4 will be the Covenant and Forerunner tech/Forerunners*, I don’t think the Precursors will be encountered until towards the end of Halo 4)

**(I think the Forerunners will be a enemy at first but they will become a ally like the Arbiter became in Halo 3).

ps Getting back to the point of this thread, I think the Precursors would make Spartan IV clones to try and mess with the Master Chief’s head, who is a enemy and who is a ally.

Also since Cortana is going crazy, I think it would be much easier for such a thing to happen, Master Chief wouldn’t have the combat support that Cortana provides.

OT:I don’t think they have the resources or power to do that,if they wanted to mess with the chief they would use something more powerful.

I didn’t have the time to reply to your reply when you posted it, but now I do and I will explain why they do have the resources and power to make clones of Spartan IV’s, and why they might do such a thing.

  1. The Precursors are the most technological advanced civilization in the Halo universe. They would absolutely have what is needed to make Spartan IV clones.

  2. The Precursors I think would make Spartan IV clones, because of the significance Master Chief has, he wouldn’t kill fellow Spartans.

And since Cortana is crazy, the Master Chief wouldn’t have all the combat support that Cortana provides him, he might not be able to tell the difference between his fellow Spartan IV’s compared to exact Spartan IV clones* without Cortana’s support.

  1. The Precursors from what is known about there abilities, they can influence AI’s, but they can’t influence human thoughts and actions**.

*(Since the Precursors are the most advanced race, they could make exact copies of Spartan IV’s.)

**(The Precursors can influence the evolution of humans, but I don’t think (from what is known about them) they can influence human thoughts or actions without physically putting technology in or on the subject they want to control.

ps As for the part you said about why they wouldn’t just make something extremely powerful to deal with Master Chief, he is the most important Spartan, he has a lot of influence in a lot of places***.

Also where the Master Chief is in Halo 4 most likely has a very important piece of technology that is of interest to all the races that are in the Halo universe. Using brute force could put said technology in risk of being destroyed.

***(The Precursors could try and make the Master Chief a slave to do their bidding)

Ok,well its possible i just see it being extremly unlikely.

As do I, but I could see them using this as part of their test for the Mantle to test Chiefs wits in battle situations where he would have to make hard decisions.

making clones of Spartan IV’s makes sense.

  1. they definitely have the technology.
  2. it would definitely affect John, badly.

I expect to see Precursors at the end of Halo 4 in a cutscene (possible Legendary ending?), but not fighting them.

they could use Cortana or some kind of AI. remember in Bloodlines, the comic book, if you read it, 686 Penitent Tangent affects Spartan Black III (maybe IV, can’t remember exactly) visions, making allies look like Covenant, so the Spartan started attacking his allies. they could do this to John, would really mess him up.

I know it is kind of out there, but I based it on what has been made available from 343.

Sadly I don’t read many books =( It’s not because I’m dumb or can’t read, I just find it boring =( I would much rather play a game or watch a movie, they are more immersive for me.

And I think we might fight a Precursor piece of technology or Precursor at the end of the game.

If the Precursors are indeed the new enemy for this new trilogy, then I think their appearance would be viewable on any difficulty.

Also please use halopedian instead, it’s better that way.

I will update the OP with a link for Halopedia.

Wrong, they created the flood to store the information of the their dead, so thy could be remembered and to converse with at any time. But, the ‘supercomputer’ of the flood, the gravemind, decided that it was superior to the precursors and wiped out their civilization. Then, millions of years later humanity released the flood upon the galaxy, on accident of course, thus causing the destruction of the Forerunners.

They created the Flood to defeat the Forerunners, and then use the Flood to judge Humanity when the time was right.

Thank you for the post =) I was gonna say just about the same thing.
