Ive heard about precoursors… They are huge and do poetry. They created flood to test humanity and the forrunners, but when the forrunners found out the precoursors made the flood, the forrunners hunted and annialated the precoursors with their own technology. So post any ideas/facts about them so I can make further predictions about halo 5.
That’s not entirely true. The Precursors were an ancient alien race that created the Mantle of Responsibility. They then created many species, including humans and Forerunners. They decided that humans would be the next upholders of the Mantle, so the Forerunners rebelled, wiping out the Precursors. The survivors tried to turn to a dust that would reform into themselves later, but it mutated into the Flood.
Who knows how Precursors will fit into future Halo storylines, but I really want to see it happen.

I don’t know guys I mean I want to see the precursors really bad, but at the same time the way they are stated in books and lore as a tier 0 civilization is mind boggling to me. I don’t see how you could implement such beings into the games. They would over power the hell out us, if they are our enemies. What would they come back for though? Maybe after many failed attempts of trying to see which race is worthy of the mantle, they decide to just destroy everything. Full out extinction of all civilizations, destroying their own creations. I would be curious to see how the didact would react to a situation like this.

Haha, thanks, I noticed it way back when, even before any information about the precursor was even out.
Actually even before Halo 3 when the Ark was revealed.
Before Halo 3 was revealed, the Forerunners were meant to be the same race as humanity, and the Precursors were never once mentioned.

Yup and Bungie didn’t know it’s own lore and 343 had to fix it all. Which is true you can ask the Medicant Bias profile guy on here, he talked to a dev. And now it’s after Halo 3, things change.
And Bungie along with many other developers/authors were and always have been known to take stories or parts from the bible, it’s easy to use and free essentially. No plagerism worries.
To the OP, we don’t know much about them, just bits and pieces. The last one was killed a long time ago by the Didact I believe…or Iso-Didact I forget which one. But they won’t be back. Any of their knowledge or history is within forerunner history.
