Will there be an option to set the firing option to automatic in the game? I mean how the Needle Rifle works in Reach.
I have an minor injury in my finger that I use to pull the right trigger with which can make shooting very uncomfortable while spamming. In previous Halo games I would have to switch between fingers every now and then which would result in holding the controller awkwardly.
So I was wondering if the Battle Rifle, DMR and Carbine will have the option to change so that you don’t have to pull the trigger everytime you shoot? The Needle Rifle in Reach fixed this for me and i’m very happy how it works.
I don’t think that the guns will do that from watching people play the game at e3 and rtx. You’re best bet is to buy a turbo controller or something of that kind.

Because they are useless beyond close-range.
I prefer using precision weapons over weapons such as the AR. It’s also standard in the MLG playlist where I spend the majority of my time playing video games. It’s not available in that playlist and should never be.
Try the ‘south paw’ control scheme. It’ll be odd at first but it might help a bit

Probably because he wants to be effective at a range greater than 3 feet…
Plus, accounting for bloom/spread on automatics wouldn’t be very practical for the OP given his injury.
They tried with the Focus Rifle.

Boy do I hope so. Contrary to popular belief, even when the God pistol is fired full auto, it still feels very professional and gets the job done.
Of course, there’s one problem with precision weapons being able to fire full auto: Focus Rifle. Annoying as hell and it was sometimes difficult for me to spot enemies wielding it. Getting scoped out gave me migraines. Using this thing as a cqc weapon was somewhat atrocious. It is weaker compared to the Sentinel gun and has a slow start up time. Like most Covie weapons, it’s better suited for shield removal.
Sooo… you just want a very accurate AR that can shoot an kill across map? BTW I’m sure you can switch button layout’s, so you can fire with the left trigger and throw grenades with the right.
I’m sure there are attachments for controllers that extend the triggers to underneath the controller which are sensitive and can allow the user to fire with any finger.
EDIT: I think they are called Controlfreaks or Gamefreaks or something.
There is no need to mod your controllers… Especially since you can change the button layout via the menu’s. Please don’t encourage players to go out and by modded/rapid fire controllers.

I can use them at midrange and even long range. Don’t know what your problem is.

This is why stat flaming needs to be allowed.
ot- i dont know if that feature is there or not
everybody else hes not asking to make the br auto or anything hes asking if there is a way for him to only have to hold the button down and it will shoot at its normal pace

I don’t mean a rifle that shoots automatic like an AR, I mean that I would like to see a weapon like the BR (Precision Rifle) shoot the same way it does except that you don’t have to pull the trigger everytime you shoot. I’d rather just hold the trigger down to shoot.
I play on Bumper Jumper and have been since 2007 and i’d rather not change my controls. I’m not going to buy a modded controller either.

You are correct sir. It is titled ‘Precision Weapons with Automatic Firing’ not ‘Full Auto Precision Weapons’.

They are incredibly inefficent that way. Good luck getting multi-kills like that. Heck, good luck outgunning dudes with actual rifles. If you do, you are playing complete n00bs.
