I really wanted to like the new infection, but these precision weapons in the game are ridiculous. Maybe I am just terrible at the game type, but the past few games I have been getting destroyed by DMRs, Pistols, and Snipers from across the map. Infection has and should always be about close quarters combat. I have no qualms with the AR and SMG. Yes the AR can be abused from a distance, but it’s still escapable. I don’t think it’s fair that the other team can one shot me from across the map when all I have is a sword to defend/attack. Does anyone agree?
***Edit: I will give the pistol some slack and say it’s not as bad as the DMR and Sniper.

Then you would have hated it if the game played like previous Halo’s with Shotgun/Pistol spawns.
Just know that they are limited, unless the person is the last man. And there’s power in Numbers

Haven’t played alot of games, but I definitely agree on the dmr part. Magnum is fine as a puck up. Undecided on the sniper.

But every iteration of the gametype since Halo 2 has had magnum starts… which despite how weak they were in some games would still 1SK headshots cross map.
Yea I’m not a fan of the DMR or Sniper Rifle either. The pistol can stay. And like everyone else said the ammo is limited so that’s fine. Idk how I feel about getting a grenade though.
I know from experience playing Halo Custom Edition that power weapons on the map and precision starts can work fine for infection so long as the zombies and humans have the same health and at least the same level of movement.
It only starts to become a problem once you make zombies able to be killed in a single headshot. Which is -Yoinking!- stupid regardless because you outnumber zombies severely and you can already teamshot them, they don’t need to be that weak on top of everything.
Frankly, I disagree.
The ammo is so low on them, it balances them.
I’ve been on both the giving and receiving end of sprees with precisions.
The sniper should really only have 4 shots. 8 would be ok.
But there are power in numbers.
The standard trick to Infections has always been roll in groups, whether Human or Infected.
The worst part is getting a bunch of Humans all roped up in one room. with proper distance, the Humans can easily win.
If everyone is running around the map and don’t stick together, Humans are easy picking for the Infection.
Best thing to do is bookmark the maps from the creators and then go and learn where all of the weapons spawn and learn the best flanking routes.
Custom games with friends can help with this.

True but precise burst fire with the AR is a quick 3-shot kill so it’s balanced
