BR and DMR are OP, if you can out-gun someone at close range with a battle rifle when they have an ASSAULT RIFLE. Then it’s kinda OP.

Are you kidding me? If you miss ONE shot with the BR or DMR. You lose to an AR every time. Everytime MID RANGE mind you… The assualt rifle should not beat these 2 weapons mid range ever. And it does… If anything the AR is OP. And let’s not get started with the SMG…

Well, this is a beta after all, im sure 343 will adjust all the weapon damages

Isn’t that the purpose of them being clunky at close range? They’ve been like that ever since they were first added in the franchise. Their sole purpose is for mid to long range engagements.

In my experience thus far I’m getting killed a hell of a lot by BR fire where I shouldn’t. DMR has yet to beat me in a reasonable fight against an AR in AR range. BR seems… silly.
This is not to say that the AR’s scope doesn’t allow you to beat the DMR at what shouldn’t be AR range, it’s just that I seem to lose an odd amount of CQC fights to BRs without melee coming into it. I have no issue with the DMR.
Also, the SMG… Jesus H. Pogosticking Christ that thing needs the SmartScope taken off it. It’s MORE powerful than the AR, and doesn’t have much in the way of recoil to compensate. I’m not asking for it to be made the new Suppressor but… damn. I feel like a -Yoink- when I use it.
