Precision Vs Full Auto.

I see a lot of folks here are debating 4sk vs 5sk. DMR vs BR. Technical talk aside, I’d like to mention the feeling you get depending on your weapon and distance of engagement. I think a better topic is full auto vs precision.
In past halo’s regardless of the range close, mid, or far, if I had a precision weapon (BR or DMR). I felt confident I could win out in a scuffle with any adversary that wasn’t packing a precision weapon. On the other hand if I had an AR, for example, no matter the range even close to mid. If I’m going up against someone with a precision weapon the feeling I would get is “Damn I’m so screwed.”
I think it would be a good thing if that would change in Halo 4. When using a full auto in close to mid range you should be the one instilling fear into the single shot or burst fire weapon users.
Back to some technical talk change shots per kill to kills per clip. precision weapons dominate over full auto. DMR 15 round clip 5sk that is 3 kills per clip no missing or reloading. BR 36 round clip 5sk that is 2 kills plus 2 misses and/or 2 headshot kill steals no reloading possible 4 kills per clip.
Full auto weapons like the AR don’t even compare here. AR 32 rounds per clip no headshot capability not sure on the precise but about 70-80% of the clip for 1 kill. 20-30% of the clip hangs in the wind its useless. Need to reload.
Possible kills per clip. BR 4
DMR 3
AR 1

I would like the AR to be more effective so that it can remain competitive with the DMR and BR. It would add more variety to the game by giving people who like to get up close and personal with the enemy an edge if the AR would get buffed.

Technically it’s a magazine…

Anyways, what was the point of this thread? To try to get people to stop talking about the 5sk BR and change the terminology of _sk weapons to _kpm weapons?

_ shot kill makes more sense because it will always kill in that many shots. _ kills per magazine doesn’t make any sense because it has to take into consideration missed shots.
