Pre-orders get you nothing...

Have you tried to by Amiibo?! I’m guessing not. Pre ordering is pretty much the only way to get them. Same with the Majora’s Mask 3DS. If the legendary $250 Halo 5 is actually going to be rare, you’d want to preorder it. It happened with the Destiny Ghost edition. Then that game came out and the floor fell out on the scalping market lol.

Anyways, preordering can be beneficial to those looking to plan out purchases in an industry where the next shiny thing is released as soon as you walk out the door with your new game.

It also ruins a Nintendo fan’s day.

I always pre-order limited editions (especially the Limited Collector’s Edition for Halo 5). Preordering is the only option if you want one, because you won’t be able to get it if you don’t preorder.

I also preorder regularly-priced games for two reasons:

  1. If I don’t want to shell out $63 at once for a game, I’ll place a preorder with ~$30 on it, then pay the rest off later after another paycheck.

  2. My Gamestop is really busy and they run out of copies pretty quickly, so sometimes I preorder just to avoid the potential hassle of them running out before I can pick one up.

I hate digital games, I much prefer physical copies. Mostly because I can’t sell digital copies should I decide to.

That makes far too much sense for these forums to handle.

Relevance?.Everyone saying not to pre-order knows this. Obviously if you want limited you have to, but if its just standard you shouldn’t.

Why should people feel that they have to justify pre-ordering as an individual? If you want to pre-order, just pre-order, who cares if someone on the internet is against it?

Not going to go in to why I do it, but I don’t just mindlessly make the decision off of nothing, there’s good reason, otherwise I wouldn’t feel the need to do it. The same goes for those who don’t decide to pre-order based on their views, not saying you’re wrong, but -Yoink!- if I’m going to stop pre-ordering because you want to start some kind of internet revolution against the industry.

I pre-ordered halo 5 the day it was available at my local gamestop. People will have their opinions about everything you do or don’t do now. They haven’t even announced the pre-order bonuses and I don’t care. Game will be awesome.

Lol thissss! I’ve never pre ordered a game in my life, but that’s because I’m too lazy for midnight releases. But It sure as hell doesn’t make me feel sometype of way when my friends do. I might even start pre ordering just for the whole not drop 60 to 70$ in one shot tbh

I’m against pre-ordering, pre-ordering is heresy but i’m pre-ordering halo anyway because halo is halo :^^^^^^^^^^)))))))

Getting that sweet 200$ version

I just thought it was amusing. Everyone has been spamming not to preorder halo 5. I enjoy being able to make payments on a game. $60 a pop, or more if you want limited editions, is a lot of money. People like to act like it isn’t but everyone has priorities. Spending $100 plus on a game I enjoy means I have to give up something else. So preordering works. It also helps if you’re trying to get something truly rare.
