Pre-ordering Halo 5 or Waiting for Reveiws?

Halo 3 and Halo 4 are among the club of games that sold the majority of copies on release day. First day sales are a measure of expectations. Will you buy Halo 5 on release day or wait for the reviews?

Well the not sure option?, currently I’m not sure at this moment but if I do then it’s the limited edition console because not buying Xbox One console until that day since wanted to buy my first Xbox One to look unique compared to the basic design.

I’ll be posting on Waypoint and keeping up with updates leading up to release.

If I see signs hinting toward a true Halo game, I’ll get hyped, spread the word, and pre-order the game with a smile.

However, if I see this Nu-Halo gameplay, I’ll drop the series, angry and upset.
And I guarantee you I’ll spread the word.
Instead, I’ll tell everyone to play Destiny, Titanfall, Battlefield, etc.

P.S.
Don’t ask me to define ‘true Halo’.
If you don’t understand, that’s on you.

Pre-order, since Halo games are pretty much the only games I pre-order.

And I’m a sucker for some pre-order bonuses.

Its going to be tricky for me I guess. I really want to wait this time after
buying H4 right away and what a terrible decision that was. BUt I also want to
be among the first to jump in on launch night and see what the game is made of
with everyone else.

However I will not even be buying an Xboxone until Halo launches so we will see.

The main deciding factor for me is the Xbox One, I don’t know rather or not I’ll actually get the Xbox One.

6 years ago from September 26th, I bought the Xbox 360 Halo 3 Edition solely to play Halo 3.

That’s exactly how I feel, probably do the same, the thing is since Halo 4’s failure I have had to do the same since had to move to different games until Halo 5 turns up.

I don’t care about reading what some game magazine was paid to say about the game. Doesn’t it occur to anyone else that pretty much every AAA game ever made has had good reviews?

I will wait for information before I decide to buy it, but I couldn’t care less about reviews.

Yes, I will be pre-ordering it to get it day 1. I’m expecting the story to be good, and am looking forward to how it continues from Halo 4.

As for the rest of the game? There’s this little saying that used to roam around, being that I buy Halo for the story, and stay for the multiplayer. I’m definitely buying Halo 5 for the story, now let’s see if they can make me stay.

i never read into reviews too much but i will keep up with updates and act accordingly. as a long time halo fan im always excited about a new halo game and normally it would be a definite preorder but i was very disappointed with halo 4 so now im skeptical.

Im more of a campaign guy when it all comes down to it. Id buy a Halo game even if there was no multiplayer whatsoever. And 343 has proven they can make a damn good campaign. So this is a no-brainer. That said, i will wait until i see some gameplay footage before i get all excited about it. Until that point ill try not to torture myself by thinking about how long off it is. But the first glimpse of gameplay and im out the door to pre-order. They would have to royally -Yoink- up to stop me from playing this game. But i have faith.

Well… I accidentally voted for option 3…

I expect Halo 5 to be great. And even if it isn’t, I’ll still buy the game, and I’ll still love the game.

Day one for me.

Well after the top to bottom fiasco that was Halo 4 there is no way I’m preordering, no matter what 343i say. I’ll wait for actual feedback from actual people before making a call.

all reviews are subjective. that being said the video game reviewers now a days seem to be as bad as smug and elitist movie critics

> I will no longer spend $60 on a game that has (less than <) 12 hour campaign only to discover that it’s incomplete. I’ll buy it after 2-3 years. I’ll actually pay what it’s worth then.

Can you please name me atleast 3 games that have 12 hours of campaign? None of the halo games had that. It’s been a standard for most games to be a 6-8 hour campaign. The time varies on if your new to the game or not.

I’ll be preordering the highest tier collector’s edition the minute it’s available, unfortunately at Gamestop. They got me with 4 due to the Arctic Battle Rifle.

Well, I’d love to hear more about the game before I put money into it
