I was thinking of pre-ordering Halo 4 LE online. But what I want to know is does it arrive on day of release or will it arrive a couple of days after, if it isn’t delivered on day one, I’ll just go to a retailer and pre-order it.
Could you please help me?
It will arrive on the day of release.
> It will arrive on the day of release.
Are you 100 percent sure?
Thanks btw.
Depends on the retailer. You will get it on the release date at the least but if you’re lucky, you might get it a few days before the release. For instance I got H3 ODST three days early.

I’m thinking of doing this too…But THEN AGAIN…Mid-Night Releases are kinda fun…nope I’m kickin it old school, I can walk home middle of the night with the game in my hand…a great feeling is waiting for me
I have NEVER pre-ordered online so that’s why I made this thread.
So thanks for the replies.
I live in Britain so I would probably pre-order at play.com. Or maybe GAME (British equivalent of Gamestop)
Do the delivery rules still apply?
It depends on the retailer. I know that EB Games/Ganestop make sure it is delivered on the day of release, every single time. Unless, of course, you pre-order it a few days before release. Then, you might end up on a waiting list.
Pre Ordered the Limited + Art of Halo4 = my legendary edition

I assume so.
I am from the UK, and I would go with Play.com, GAME have had some serious difficulties and I don’t trust them after they cancelled my ME3 CE order.

Note to self: Do not pre-order from GAME
Anyway thanks!
I’m really pumped about this game, it would be a tragedy that it wasn’t delivered on day 1!
I would pre-order from a store. I’ve always pre-ordered online and got it on the day of release, but I know SO many people who haven’t and have had to wait 2+ days.
You run the risk of that happening by getting it online.

Did they pre-order within a couple of days before rlease?

It really doesn’t make a difference. I pre ordered Reach a week before release and got it. My friend had it pre ordered for months and didn’t.
It’s all to do with the supplier. Sometimes they make mistakes. That being said, my pre-order experiences are only from AMAZON. So maybe its just them.

Thanks.
I’ve just found out I can pre-order from GameStop in the U.K.
IS IT WORTH IT?
I live in Canada. I receive all my game the day of release from both Gamestop (Ebgames) canada and Gamestop USA. I would expect Gamestop UK to do the same if you are in europe.
Now the terrible wait begin for me as Gamestop USA already put the LE online but not Canada division. They are always running behind when it comes to update the website.

Ok, thanks.
Just so you know, ultimately most retailers will ship it before release in an attempt to get it to you on time but it will be down to the postal service.
Some examples: my Halo 3 got stolen in the post, had to get a replacement so that didn’t arrive on release. (amazon.uk, but clearly Royal mail’s fault) Halo Reach LE arrived the day before release (play.com) but Fable 3 arrived about a week after release, or at least four days. (also Play.com)
So even the same retailer couldn’t guarantee it. Personally, I always use amazon or play, though generally only play if it’s cheaper. I prefer amazon as you can specify that you want it on release in shipping, sure you pay more but it likely will be there on release.
Just my experience with it
Can you specify if you want it to arrive on release-day on GameStop?
Overall, would you pre-order online or via retailer?
