Pre-Order Weapon Skin Question

So I know bsangel answered this in the bulletin, but I’m still a little unclear.

If you have a weapon skin, do you automatically have access to that weapon? Example: If I get the Imprint Light Rifle skin, I’ll have access to the weapon even though I’m not the appropriate rank?

From what I understand yes. I have the BR skin from Gamestop, I should have access to the BR at SR-1 once the code is entered, as will you with the Light Rifle.
