I have nearly beaten LASO in Halo 4 and want to do it right away in MCC. I already put down a 5 dollar deposit on the pre-order from best buy cause I wanted the map book. Now that I’m interested in LASO though, I’m wondering if I should go with the gamestop one so I can get the bandana skull and make LASO much easier. First of all, will you be able to beat it on laso with the bandana active. Also do you think all the LASO guides will have this skull active. I would only get this pre-order is if it would be practically neccessary to beat laso

I love the bandanna skull, but I hope laso cannot be done/rewarded with the bandanna skull because laso is meant to be hard, this just makes it easier. Btw the skull becomes available to all eventually. But yeah when I get this game I will try laso for the first time. Probably take me forever, maybe up until halo 5 comes out lol.
Bandanna skull and the other skulls which dont add modifiers will not be counted towards LASO. In other words, it doesn’t matter if you have them on or not. You will be able to recieve the LASO achievement whether you have it active or not, as long as you have all the actual modifier skulls active.
I wouldn’t worry about feeling guilty about using the skull or not. At the end of the day, no one cares how you beat it, or that you even did. Its all purely for your own self-satisfaction. So do it in a way that you’re comfortable with and can live with. Having unlimited ammo does not necessarily make LASO any easier, as I’d say LASO is far more about skill and mental endurance. Bandanna doesn’t necessarily help you with either.
If it makes you feel any better, I will be doing all 4 LASOs with my friend. Some might consider that cheating, but I am doing it to have fun with a friend, not for boasting rights.
I personally wouldn’t sacrifice the nice map book in favour of a skull, which you will get sooner or later anyway, as the pre-order skulls are timed exclusives.

I didn’t want to lose the map book either. I think I’m gonna do it legitly without the bandana even if it comes out later. Thanks!

It says LASO playlist so it may not let you set it up, I think it could be a playlist you select from without any custom options within it.

I know! I want to feel like you get some recognition for doing it the hard way. The way it was supposed to be done
I’m seriously considering doing a LASO run, but in co-op though as I’ve never attempted a LASO run before (heck I struggle completing the games on Legendary on my own)
