Pre-Order Bonuses

As most of us may already know, 343 plans to release Halo Infinite on December the 8th, 2021. Due to the release being confirmed, we have been given the option to invest some of our money to pre-order the game.

My question is if the users who have pre-ordered the game will recieve a special token (pre-order bonus) due to purchasing the game in advance?

Something else I would be interested to know is what is planned to be included in the battle pass. Will for instance potential campaign expansions by included in the battle pass or will these pieces of additional content purchased separately?

Finally, the main reasons why I ask these questions is in order to make an informed decision on if it’s worth pre-ordering the game (most likely from Microsoft Store) and how to allocate my money as efficiently as possible.

certain stores such as game in the uk and gamestop in america give a zeta sky armour and weapon coating for pre ordering from their store. however different stores offer the same armour coating but a different weapon coating which is a bit annoying if you are a collector and want all the skins. but from what i have heard you dont get any pre order bonuses from the microsoft store.

I hope this helps.

I wonder why pre-ordering from the Microsoft Store doesn’t net any bonus items? It’s a bit silly, if you ask me. “We’re the ones publishing the game, but if you order it from our store you don’t get any bonuses, you have to order it from other sellers for that.”
Not that it matters much, I suppose. Ever since I found out there wouldn’t be split-screen at launch, I’ve been unsure about pre-ordering the game.

Hey there, do you happen to know which UK retailer has the Assault Rifle coating? I can see that the Amazon UK store has the Battle Rifle coating, but I am not interested in that one and I don’t actually know any other retailers.

The battle pass I think is only for mp, future campaign expansions will most likely be a separate thing, although I did read somewhere that you can unlock cosmetics etc for mp by playing through campaign, and most likely future campaign expansions would do the same.

I most interested in all aspects that require allocation of monetary assets. For instance, it may be for effective to purchase everything related to the game as a single package compared to purchasing things separately. When it comes to pre-ordering, there exist absolutely no reason to pre-order a game if it isn’t compensated in some form like reduced overall price or a bonus for allocating the monetary assets in advance.

It’s likely from what I have seen that the campaign / mp is integrated into one menu or just mp as a free download. Pre ordering a game doesn’t mean there is an automatic reduction in price or any bonuses. Some game shops offer skins when pre-ordering, and there are promotions that give bonuses etc.
I pre-ordered the game because I wanted to, as buying it anyway, and season 1 battle pass is free with it. Microsoft doesn’t take my money until about a week before game out even though I pre-ordered it.
Future battle passes and campaign expansions that become available in the future, people can buy it how they want, the battle passes don’t expire so can buy them anytime

I’m not sure if it’s just me but I’m not able to pre download the campaign, like I want to play the campaign straight away and not have to play multiplayer while waiting for it to download.

Probably be available for closer to release. They’ll almost definitely let you pre-install.

If I was exclusive in game collector, I would look at what game stores are offering. My guess is that the battlepass will be the way to get your customizations. Mp is free to play so battlepass is needed. Campaign is free for gamepass subscribers, I would buy 1month or 3months gamepass subscription that way you also have access to many other games. This will at least give you time to gauge and look at all the options. I hope this helps. I am impressed with rockstar drink promotions gold and black coatings.

There won’t be a final build to download yet, if you have pre-ordered when build is available it will automatically download and be ready to play the moment it’s released (both campaign and mp)

i pre-ordered halo on steam so i guess theres no pre order skin or anything for me.

I’m not too sure since i cant find anything online and cant remember of the top of my head what weapon was on the in store promo poster, but since GameStop is the American version of Game, then i would assume that since GameStop is giving away the assault rifle then there is a possibility that game is too. but not 100% sure.

I went in and asked game whether my pre order of the halo series x bundle would give me the pre order bonuses and they were really helpful in letting me know that it doesn’t say but since it comes with the game to just show them my receipt and they could give me the item code. so if you cant seem to figure out what item it gives just call up or go in store and I’m sure that they will be just as helpful as my local game store.

I was curious if there were any bonuses related to the series x halo bundle. I grabbed mine from Target but I know in previous editions the FOTUS armor was given to those who purchased the console (granted you could unlock it in H5 anyway).

I see! Thank you. I have done a bit of searching, and it seems that GAME is offering a VK78 Commando skin. At least, that is what I found on the website. I couldn’t find anything about the other weapons, but that’s no problem. The game launches in around two months, and more options may yet present themselves in time.

I’m hoping that it is all just a misleading promotion and every pre order bonus comes with the skins for each gun and not just the gun that it says and that its just accidentally misleading. this is what I am hoping cos it kinda would be frustrating for people who like to collect stuff in games since they wont be able to get the whole set for these cosmetics.

Gamestop - AR skin
Best Buy - BR skin
Walmart - Sidekick skin
Game - Commando skin

all places include matching blue armor coating and an emblem.

My understanding is that promos and preorder bonuses will only be exclusives for the first season (3 months) with the exception of things like the controller and a couple other brand specific items.

depending on your retailer, so will email you the code in advance, some will include a physical card with the product, and others email you once delivery has been confirmed.

Battle pass will most likely be for MP content only, as we are Playing as MC again in infinite, and have never been able to customize his armor in the past 20 years.

Yes, I can see how it would be frustrating for those people. I think the reason I am not bothered by it is because I realised getting everything is simply not feasible, given how many different promotions there are and also that most of them are unavailable outside of the US.

I’m sure the promotion isn’t misleading and is actually just one coating per retailer, but I view the Zeta weapon coatings thing as less of a “you have to buy the game four or five times to get all of them” (who would do that?) and more of a neat little thing where depending on which store you get the game from, you get a different bonus. However, I think what would have been really sweet is if they did that with the ‘charms’ instead. That way, you see the different charms and you think “oh, that person got the game from this specific store!”
I’m sure that unlike with weapon skins, no one would complain that they get one charm and not four, haha.
