Pre-order bonus question

I have one account that I do all my purchasing on, just to keep all the licenses neatly in one place should I ever need to transfer everything to a different Xbox, and I want to know whether the skins and the other bonuses will be accessible on all my accounts if I redeem the codes on my primary. Anyone know how it works?

Last I checked, one code, one account. That’s how it works with some of the DLC. I don’t think it applies to the Halo 4 stuff, but at the same point, I heard that it was an issue they were looking into.

It shouldn’t be one account, but it’s ending up that way.

But, why would you do that? If you needed to transfer, you can just do a License transfer to the new XBOX. You’d have to do that anyway if you’re replacing your console.

People are saying that any sort of bonus is only usable on the account that it is redeemed on. From personal experience, that’s what it seems like.

When I bought my Limited Edition, i didn’t realize that I was signed into my roommate’s Xbox Live account and I ended up basically handing him 12 codes (pre-order bonuses, Limited Edition content, avatar props, etc.)

If I had Borderlands on account A and Skyrim on account B, I’d have to do a license transfer for both accounts when transferring to a different Xbox rather than only doing a license transfer for one master account with everything on it. It’s just cleaner. But from what I’m hearing it sounds like I’ll have to redeem the codes on the gamertag I use to play Halo 4.
