This is something I feel is not getting talked about enough but I think that not having pre-match lobbies before multiplayer games is stopping the community of this game from flourishing.
I’m talking about joining multiplayer then being put into a lobby before the match starts and having that time to talk to the people you are about to play against, taking a look at everyones armour (which makes certain armour worth even more), then voting on which map we’d like to play. It’s the subtlety of the community growth in these moments that gives a game its own personality and something I think this game needs so that it stops feeling like a ‘dead’ or ‘dying’ game.
I say this just reminiscing on halo reach style matchmaking system. Talking to the other team before the games even begun and seeing what level everyone is and how their spartan looks. Voting is a feature some games are loosing and its a shame I think because its just allowing players to play the modes/maps they want. Especially for some of the playlists in infinite that have a ton of different modes, if there was a voting system then lobbies could play more of the maps/modes they want.
Also on top of this non disbanding lobbies is something I would love to get back. Creating the competition and familiarity with opponents and teammates alike is the definition of community building. I missed trying to get a second chance at a squad that just humiliated me the match before and in the lobby let them know I’m coming for them.
Just felt like not a lot of people were talking about this and wanted to see what people’s thoughts on it would be.
