So I’m sitting here watching The International 5, and my xbox is right next to my PC. I pulled up Bot Mode on CoD AW so I could practice shooting while I watched and I cant help but really wish there was something like this in Halo. There is no way to practice shooting players unless you play matchmaking or customs, both of which involve actual people and stats. AW’s “Combat Readiness Program” is just players vs Bots, bots are easy, no stats are recorded, you cant talk to people, its all anonymous; a good practice mode pure and simple. I would LOVE to be able to practice my BR with something like this in Halo.
The great advantage with it being set up the way it is, if something happens in TI5 that I want to watch, I can just put my controller down and switch my attention to the tournament without risking stats, and without irritating team mates.
In H3 I set up a map that had fusion coils going off of mancannons and grav lifts that I used to warm up in. It was a good way to warm up, get the reflexes going/ remind the muscles what buttons did what.
I don’t like this. At all. You need to get better at playing the game, while playing the game. Not against a bot. A bot isn’t going to act the same as a player, players are far more unpredictable. I’m glad they haven’t tried to put a bot type thing in the game yet.
A practices mode sounds really good, as you can turn up the difficulty of the game and the intensity of the game to. Making you more into a sharpened blade instead of a club.

I’ve done stuff like this too, I’ve found target practice forge maps too. While it can work, it still would be super nice to play against objects that move like players you know?

Exactly. It would also be great to get back into the swing of things after a long break without denting your KD
I think a introduction course would be pretty cool and immersive before jumping into the multiplayer. It could teach you the new abilities and how they work, similar to titanfall’s training mission. While not entirely needed, it could be fun.
