Practice Makes Perfect

There has been a lot of threads on here lately about lower skilled players wanting the BR removed and wanting grenade limits changed. Reading these things kind of makes me mad. Whatever happened to practicing and becoming a better player?I remember when I first started halo 2 on Xbox Live and i was horrible but the one thing I never did was avoid the compeitition. The grenades and BR of Halo 2 basically make halo 2 what it is. Grenade placement and 4 shotting are keys to success and its not even like these are hard things to learn.

5 Keys To Success

  1. Lower your sensitivity. If you are having trouble aiming then there is no reason why you should not be playing on Sensitivity 2.

  2. Practice your shot. Don’t worry about being MVP right away just go into matchmaking and work on your BR.

  3. Work on grenade Placement. This is even something you can do in customs. Just go into Ascension and practice lobbing Grenades from Sniper into one of the towers.

  4. Know the maps. This is extremely key. If you don’t know the jumps and the vantage points then you will not fare well. halo 2 maps were easily the most intricate and have many hidden spots that can help you play better.

  5. Lastly once you have improved on the first 4 things you can start learning the button glitches. BxR is a good starter. You get close, press melee (b) then press x to cancel the motion, and then hit Right trigger to shoot the person in the face. THis move is so nessecary to success and will save your life over and over again.

This thread probably won’t gain traction but if it does add your own suggestions to the comments.

Practicing BxR is very easy if you have a extra controller. Go into customs with the 2nd controller as a guest and just practice killing it.

Yup. I also remember people doing BxR arenas on lockout. Just get like 4 people and go 1v1 in the center and see who has the best BxR

thank you for this, it’s exactly what I was looking for.
