Power weapons should be removed from objective types

Am I the only one tired of these bad kids in multi-team that only know how to get kills with shotgun/sword in Crazy king?

Surely thats the idea.
Control the power weapons, control the hill. I tend not to use the mentioned weapons but I can certaintly see why people use them.

No…how else do you have a chance to keep the hill?

Removing the sniper would be better.

If those “Bad Kids” were truly bad, they wouldn’t have those power weapons in the first place. No matter what the gametype, controlling the power weapons is a crucial part of Halo gameplay. When playing Objective, always task one of your teammates (or heck, maybe two if you’re feeling adventurous) to gather weaponry of interest. Those rockets aren’t just for the sake of getting kills. It’s much easier to hold down a territory or hill when you have the better gun than that other guy.

Problem is that’s not what they’re being used for. They’re used by high ranks whose only interest in the hill is gathering targets. I don’t care if people want to go for a Hail to the King with the -Yoink-. The problem is it’s always high ranks just evading around and camping corners with it. You know. The teams with ZERO hill time.

I understand what you mean. I remember being in a game with you, and I was with an inheritor and a reclaimer.

They spent the whole came trying to kill you and your teammate, while I actually tried to get the objective. Oh and they used the sword. lol

I think CTF in Reach is not fun. Halo 3 CTF felt more balanced, more fluid.

Example with Reach, think map is called Boneyard. They have a tank, warthog, ghost, and close by banshee. This is the team defending and all that at start of game.

I have to ask, how is that fun? And how can you get to the flag even?

Just why not have the Guardians down there killing anyone 50 feet to the flag.

Maybe the Title Update will make it feel different but to me Reach gameplay does not translate well to Objective games at all. Enjoy Reach I do. But for me that is Slayer type games only.

Your strike system is very simple but effective. I like.

Smart players control power weapons, the others get killed by them and enjoy some quality time with the respawn screen.

absolutely not.

dont complain about multi team gametypes. thats like going to a house party and telling everyone they are being too loud.

multi team is meant to be a joke playlist with joke gametypes. expecting excellence there is just… wrong.

the only reason multiteam should exist at all is for partys of 3 and its the only playlist with race gametypes(not that defaults are any good anyway…)

Instead, a better solution should be rewarding players based on winning and losing, or on contribution to capturing an objective. Instead of giving more credits for more kills (with the exception of slayer) or playing a longer game, reward for contributing to objective captures and winning.

Some of us actually care about finishing all our commendations rather than triple maxing Close Quarters. I don’t pick up any power weapons now, save maybe a sniper, because I don’t need them. If I max my Sidearm and Crackshot so I’m down to nothing but sprees, I might start grabbing them just for the extra sprees.

Evade spam is lame.

It’s multi-team, i think no one cares if they use power-weapons or not. Maybe OP, you just suck?

Play in an actual objective type only playlist 4v4 n then come back complaining.

I totally agree with the OP but I would take it a step further: remove power weapons from all playlists, and while we’re at it let’s replace the AR with a Super Soaker and turn all of the Spartans into women in bikinis.

Viper… power weapons are part of the game. If you play Mulit team or BTB you have teamates that should go directly for the power weapons and if they make call outs if they see power weapons. But taking Rockets or Shotty out of KOTH, Headhuter, CTF, ect would make communication not as important. That is what makes teamwork the most important thing when it comes to Objective. Get a full team and play the game… crybaby

Have you actually played multi-team recently? The problem isn’t people using power weapons to support their team. I’m talking about the people that aren’t the least bit concerned about the objective. The people that camp the lift with a sword during crazy king on Sword Base. HELLO? That has nothing to do with the objective. There are too many people just going in there trying to get 50+ kills in objective games while their team finishes last. To me, the lack of power weapons in objective types would even the field and give the bad kids I’m constantly seeing less of an advantage.
