Power Node Production Rate?

Quick Question,
Does anyone know if a single Power Node produces power at the same rate as a single Generator?
Is there any rate boost if you cap more than one node?
Thanks

A power node produces 1.5 power per second compared to an un-upgraded generator which produces 3 power per second. Power nodes do stack. To review this from someone who ACTUALLY knows what their talking about and not someone who just learned that 1 power node doesn’t equal 1 generator then check out PoisonHearted54’s post below mine.

okay thanks, appreciate it.

TL:DR is that yes, 1 node is equal to 1 generator, and yes they do stack. A fun thing that I didn’t know until a month of playing is that if you cap a node it benefits the entire team who capped it and not just the single person who got it.

I’m sorry to say this is incorrect.

1 Power Generator produces 3 per second
1 Upgraded Generator produces 6 per second
1 Power Node produces 1.5 per second (was originally 2 before it got lowered)

Keep in mind
Generators are not affected by any “curve”.
This means having 6 upgraded generators will produce 36 yellow per second. (Excluding power nodes).

So in conclusion,

2 Power nodes = 1 non upgraded generator.

4 Power nodes = 1 fully upgraded generator

I remember hearing/seeing in the past BUT CAN NOT CONFIRM below,

Controlling all 5 power nodes gives an increased rate per second.

Whoah, seriously!!! That’s… uhhh… yeah I have no comeback. I’ll edit the post accordingly. But still, I’m shocked that after half of year of owning this game there is still stuff I don’t/didn’t know.

Yep!
Try capping a node before building a generator and notice the slow rate!

I remember gathering the information above (confirmed) but I do not recall the source exactly.

They actually mention the power rate of a node reduction in a balance patch in the past!

Awesome appreciate all the info, that was exactly what I was looking for!

And now that you mention it, I do remember they talking about nodes in one of the previous patch notes

Thanks, good to know!
Do you know if the income is the same for all players on the team?

For power nodes,
It should be!
On the loading screen a helpful hint says
”Power nodes generate same per player no matter who captures it” (something like this)
