They’re revamping weapon sounds to be more scary. NIIIIIICE.
But!
How does that pertain to MELEE kills?
I could live with the obligatory crunching noise when you punch someone, but where’s the warping of metal?
If you punch another player in the chest, you should hear twisting, warping metal along with the snapping of bones.
If you punch their visor, you should hear the painful TONK noise of a fist hitting unbreaking glass.
Punching a grunt should be crunchy. Punching a Mgalekolo’s exposed worms should make a squishy noise.
I wanna hear something other than SMACK, or WHACK.
> Punching a grunt should be crunchy. Punching a Mgalekolo’s exposed worms should make a squishy noise
Pretty sure that already happens

Fair enough.
That would be awesome.
I would love to hear the brutality that is 1200 pounds of metal crashing into each other.
Making the melees more brutal would be awesome. Punching a Spartan in the gut would literally rocket him backward. Punching one in the face should send him head over heels.
If they managed to incorporate it well enough, I wouldn’t even mind kicks as mid-air melees. I’d go Chuck Norris on everyone I meet.

No. It sounds cool and all, but there is a reason stuff like that isn’t in the game: gameplay.

I remember when Halo 3 first went online and when you melee’d the enemy flew through the air.
It was awesome!
