*Potential Shotgun problem for Battle Canyon* - Objective

The Shotgun seems to spawn in each base underground. Now, taking into consideration how Objective games play out, I don’t think having a Shotgun spawn in each base is a great idea considering how people love to just camp Shotties with like 234234 shots in a corner, further dragging out Objective matches.

IMO, it should be a weapon to be picked up in the middle of the map and have it spawn with only one clip. If it IS going to spawn in each base, then it should DEFINITELY only have one clip so that people can’t stack up on ammo and just camp the bases, making Objective matches drag on and boring.

No. Shotguns were plentiful in CE and there were never any problems with them. you know why? because before you stormed a base you took 5 secs and grabbed a shotty fron your own base first.

Im seriously tired of the power weapon famine in Halo post CE. CE had fast kill times cuz power weapons were EVERYWHERE and they spawned very fast. CE with its fast power weapon spawns is considered one of the most competitive FPS in console history and the abundance of power weapons kept it from being a 1 gun game despite the god pistol.

Halo 1 had very fast kill times… VERY fast… so it’s not the same situation to take out a sprinting shotgun camper as it would be in Halo 1.

Also, there weren’t any shotguns in Battle Creek in Halo 1, so your argument is invalid ;]

Sprinting shotgun guy still = guy who brought shotgun from his base. Reachs shotguns mroe resembles CEs shottie than any other halos shotty.

We were talking about timberlands not battle creek so i dont get your point. my argument still stands. If anythign havign shotguns be plentiful only balances things out. If you only have 1 shotgunont eh map or 1 at each base ona long timer or only 1 allowed ont eh map at a time it makes storming a base with dmr n ar difficult sinc eyou are at such a cqb disadvantage. But if Shotguns are plentiful then everytimeyou make an attempt at a base you can go with a shotgun so it just becomes shotgun duels in bases to get the objective.

It doesn’t matter if it more resembles CE’s shotties cuz Reach kill times are WAY longer. It takes longer to counteract a shotty guy because it takes so long as compared to CE, that’s what I’m saying…

Also, you don’t think plentiful shotties are a problem? I’m guessing you never played Hemorrhage where a shotty guy or two just camps in the base for the WHOLE ENTIRE match… You run all the way across the map just to get killed with 1-2 bullets, knowing that you’re gonna repeat the process another 20 times because they have so much ammo.
