Hello everyone,
as many of you, I am struggling with bad performance.
My game usually runs between 30 - 45 fps on the lowest possible video settings.
For reference, this is my PC: RX590 GPU, R7 3700X CPU, 16 GB RAM and game is running on SSD.
Changing settings in the video menu usually did not help, no matter what I did.
I now found something that changed the game’s behaviour though.
If you go to your AMD GPU Driver setting for the game, you can active something called Radeon Chill. I set it to 60 min and max and the game suddenly seems to behave different. Changes made in the video settings seem(!) to work now, putting the resolution to like 55% now actually makes the game look terrible, BUT the performance is noticeably better now, …but still nowhere near steady 60fps. I still have set min and max fps settings in the ingame video settings, as is recommended by 343. VSync off.
tl;dr
If you are using an AMD GPU, go to the driver and activate Radeon Chill for Halo Infinite. Could improve performance.
If you try that, please let us know if if did anything. Maybe there is more one could do at driver level to improve the situation.
