Potential new novel to bridge H5 and HI?

As I understand it, the E3 trailer will be how the game begins. Everyone, including myself, seems to have a lot of questions, such as how Chief ends up floating in space after last being seen in Arbiter’s camp at the end of H5.

Do you think there might be another novel released before Infinite releases as a different form of media to hype up some fans for the game and to answer those questions?

I believe this would be a good way to separate Infinite’s story from H5’s while allowing it to be a standalone story as 343i intends it to be. The novel would add some lore that is not necessary for understanding HI’s story, but it would allow for a continuous timeline.

The Osiris drop scene was also introduced as the first scene in Halo 5 but was preceded by another scene. I’m thinking that this scene will be the same. but I can’t imagine that there won’t be at least one piece of Halo media set in the three years (at least) between 5 and Infinite.

This could very well be a possibility to cover the events of the at least 3 years spanning timegap from the viewpoint of Chief.

This, or it could be explained in-game through terminals, to make it also available to new players which don’t read stuff from the EU.
