I came across an article in which could potentially narrow down the release for Infinite to Autumn 2021. I don’t know if this is official or not but it’s the most news we’ve heard concerning release since the delay. Here’s the link: Halo Infinite targeting Autumn 2021 release date, will be at E3 2021 (altchar.com)
Looks like Sean W.'s “super secret source,” and Infinite Scoops video are making waves.
I like Sean’s attitude and presentation a lot. I’m not sure that it’s in keeping with sound journalism on the part of websites like the above to promote information secondhand like this, though. Sean cites in his video that he’s vetted his source to his own satisfaction, but even clearly communicates to his audience that they should take the information with a grain of salt.
For an unaffiliated outlet to regurgitate and amplify information gained from an anonymous source without doing any additional footwork to verify the information or its source? Iffy stuff.
In any case, it’s a lot of vague information. Holiday 2021 is the prime suspect at this point for most fans as to Infinite’s new target for launch. If they really are delaying it an entire year, they’ll seriously need to revamp their marketing and hype plans, including a complete showstopper of a presentation for E3 '21 (or the Xbox equivalent) in order to convince people they know what they’re doing with this game.
I’m hopeful for a Spring 2021 launch or the idea of having the Multiplayer launch before the Campaign. Honestly, I just want to play some Halo Infinite. Even a demo would be fine.

Me too, I think it’s best that we get some games in before 2021 is over
