I really enjoyed this week’s bulletin, even though it did not name the new composer. But I’m an all around audio junkie myself, from writing music to creating sounds. So when I read this part:

I became curious. I found a few different sounds that brushtail possums make, and pitched them down an octave! I threw together this.
The first few sounds are the screams. After that, it’s some weird hissing and growling noises. All pitched down an octave, with some reverb.
I know it’s not much, but I thought it would be good to speculate on what kind of creature would make sounds similar to this. In my opinion, I think it could be used for some flood sounds. Possibly wildlife too. But who really knows?
I hope this provokes some thought and useful, civil discussion.
Me and my two close live friends saw the video and we think we heard that rifle looking gun shoot or try to shoot a 3 round burst so me and my friends thought Battle Riffle or some sort of rifle like gun.
For some reason I couldn’t get the link to work but I went to youtube to hear what they sounded like and I can say without a doubt that the scream from the enemy in the concept art trailer is from one of those possums.

You clearly did not read the subject line of this thread.

May I ask what’s going on with the link? It works fine for me. Is anyone else having trouble with it?
And after I heard it, I thought the same thing. Also, the sounds at the very end of the sound file I made sound similar to one of the sounds that played between the low, synth bass stabs in the concept art trailer.
