What’s even the point of ranking up on Waypoint? Can you unlock any REQs or in game material?

No. Ranking up on waypoint does nothing for you but show how active you are on the forums.
Unless it’s a special rank, like monitor.

There is no point. All it shows is who are the veteran members. Higher ranks have more priveledges.
