Post-War UNSC feat thread

Greetings! This unofficial thread serves the purpose of calculating the amalgamations of generally rather impressive post-war UNSC accomplishments, and how they differ retrospectively ranging from during the human-covenant war, modern military, or even (dare I say) the peak of the Ecumene/Forerunner Empire – be it industrial capacity, fire-power, artificial intelligence etcetera etcetera. Feats included are requested to be backed up with sources from official Halo media, and any contradictory examples from a more recent source should discrete from the former and be ranked as either a low, mid, or high-end achievement unless canonically described by a writer from 343 industries.

Okay, let’s get started!

I’ll start with the M395 Bullpup Designated Marksman Rifle. As seen here [DURATION: 6:00], it is capable of producing enough kinetic energy to cause 162kg Promethean Crawlers to explode upon impact – the same machines the Master Chief struggles to tear apart as seen when the player assassinates them in the Halo 4 campaign. According to Frank O’Connor, Spartans are capable of flipping an M808 as mentioned in the Halo Legends - Homecoming Blu-ray Developer Commentary, rendering the Crawlers with an impressive level of tensile strength.

Shielding and Durability

  • Shielding for MJOLNIR GEN II and updated GEN I systems have proved to be very effective at stopping enormous levels of kinetic energy. Spartan Madsen was capable of resisting a blast from a scattershot that can vaporise a fully shielded 200+kg Sangheili with one strike. 150 megajoules is what’s required to mimic that with the average adult male, leaving Madsen’s GEN II RECON armour with shields and armour capable of stopping at least 375 megajoules.
  • The Master Chief, donned in the updated Mark VI, was knocked unconscious from a blast that sent him propelling at sufficient velocity to produce a massive crater in a rocky surface multiple meters wide (Source: Halo 4 mission Forerunner - Chapter: NEXT STOP, CERTAIN DEATH) – the plating remained unscathed from the impact.
