If you downloaded the patch and can’t even connect to a game, try power cycling your Xbox One, modem, and router. Turn off your Xbox by holding your finger down on the power button on the console until it shuts completely down. Unplug your router. Unplug your modem. Wait for 30 seconds or so. Plug your modem back in. Plug your router back in. Start up your Xbox One.
I found a match this way within a minute.

Yep, not saying it’ll work for everyone, but I went from finding no matches and being angry that the patch doesn’t work, to finding matches quickly after power cycling everything. I still experience some issues like being kicked from a session or unable to connect to host, but it’s better than just sitting there doing nothing.
This isn’t anything new though. This is what you had to do pre-patch also, we’d either exit MCC or hard reset your xbox and then you’ll be able to find matches for an hour maybe then do it all over again.
Really? That never worked for me this whole last week. I went through a 3 day stretch of no matchmaking after trying hard resetting each day.
Yeah, we had it down to a science and managed to pull a bunch of games as long as there were no more than 2 people in the same lobby
