Post launch shoulder armor customization?

At this point, most of us know armor customization in halo 5 is very limited, even having less armor customization than halo 3. This was pretty disappointing, but obviously not game breaking, however I do think that customization should be updated post launch to at least be on par with halo 3.

Being able to change out our shoulder armor would be a good way to do this and would be reasonable in terms of armor customization. If we were able to change our shoulders individually, the rest of the armor being tied to the chest piece would be fine, considering nobody is really paying attention to your wrists or legs.

Of course, this is not a huge deal, but it would be something nice to see added later on. Anyone else agree?

I agree at least shoulder customization can open to a lot of different variations.

Honestly I would have been fine with just Shoulder and Helmet options, with a stock body.

Typically, Shoulder and Helmet are what create the most noticeable differences in silhouettes. With the ability to have asymmetrical shoulder armor, that just increases the amount of variation…unless the shoulder armor is like what was in H4 and then they all pretty much look the same, with only a few being able to actually change the silhouette in a noticeable way.

That said, we haven’t seen the armor selection yet, so there might be some nice asymmetrical shoulder variants. Fingers crossed.

IDK why anyone would disagree with you.

I’d add legs and fore arms as well, I’m sorry but I want all of it, as unnoticeable as is may be, I care. Plus you can see your forearms and legs in first person, so I’d like to see what I want to see.

Wasn’t Halo 3’s customization just helmet and chest?

No, Helmet, shoulders and chest. Those options are good but just Helmet and Suit it’s dissapoiting.

I’d like to see it, but it isn’t going to happen.

Yes

One can hope but it’s doubtful.

I have a couple questions.

  1. Why?
  2. What will this honestly do?
  3. How often do people stare at your frickin’ shoulders?
  4. How often do YOU stare at your frickin’ shoulders?
  5. I would only agree if they let me place a literal large doritos chip on my shoulder. Because, reasons.

I’m sure they could do it, but there are other features that would be more useful

Yeah, it’s a simple addition for them hopefully and would add a lot of variety for the folks that love to customise their look. I’d give it a low priority but, yes.

Keep making noise about it guys. Fight he good fight… The fight… For shoulder pads

  1. More customization is always nice and can do no harm if it has no direct effect on game play

  2. The same thing customization has always done, give players more options to be themselves.

3/4. People may not just stare directly at another players shoulders, but is something somewhat noticeable and subtle that differentiates players. Reach had some pretty unique shoulder pieces that were also subtle but noticeable.

  1. Why not, lol.

The greatest fight since cupholders.

They Should Add It, No Reason Not To

TIME constraints? Literally NO compensation for that addition by itself? No reason not to my -Yoink-, all of you people claiming ‘no reason not to’, for the plethora of things not added don’t even grasp the concept of a differing opinion on the matter.

Why are we discussing this. It should be about which wrist bands we can wear.

So many pointless threads lately…

I use the same mention of ‘Wanting the screws holding my helmet together to be either Phillips, Flat, or Hexheaded’ as the ridiculousness of how indepth the want to go on customization, for the literal 3 seconds they look at it, and then run out into the field of battle. It’s just unnecessary, but to each their own.
