So I’m doing research for some story writing I’m doing and I am curious; is the Insurrection still around after the events of Halo 3? The Wiki is kinda lacking in details of the Insurrection, I’m not even sure the encyclopedia even mentions it at all.
Yes, though the conflict has mostly simmered down. Opposing colonies that have been largely cut off for decades have been simply allowed be independent with attempts at diplomacy to bring back into the fold.
Those still interested in fighting are those with particularly hard feelings against the UEG.
It’s not as serious as things were before the Covenant, but yes. Now that there’s no common enemy threatening all of Humanity, the infighting has returned.

Definitely. Even though a lot of ODSTs were integrated into the Spartan-IV program after the war, the ones that were left still continued to fight Insurrectionists. In fact, I think it was a fight against Insurrectionists that finally convinced the remaining members of Alpha Nine (Buck, Romeo, Mickey) to join the Spartan-IVs.
It seems you haven’t read/heard much post-Halo 3 material at all, the Insurrection’s still alive and kicking in multiple stories.

Ya I fell off the wagon with books after I got out of school and started working, I need to start reading them again. Last book I read was Evolutions.

I see, take your time and read/listen to stuff in release order then. There’s still plenty of time before Halo 6 after all.
