Post game victory animations

I know that the community was pretty divided over the bro-down animations from the Beta, some people hated them, some people enjoyed them, but no matter which side you were on due to the reaction to the Beta what we got in the full game was the most bland, timewasting postgame animation anyone could imagine. My idea now that the Voices of War req pack has come out is why not do a similar thing with post game animations? Lots of people asked for the animation to be effected by your stance req, but seeing as that didn’t happen why not make it a purely optional paid pack of a handful of post game animations with different tones. For example a bro-celebration bit like in the Beta, a more toned down soldier-esque type animation like the post game ones from Reach and potentially others. The voices of war broke the super serious hyper competitive mold the base game offered, but to balance that out it’s also completely optional, and costs money to compensate the extra work put into the pack, I would absolutely be willing to spend a little cash to get some variety in the post game animations. Are there any specific styles you guys would want to see in this kind of pack?

In my opinion, 343 toned-them down too much after receiving the community’s feedback. It went from “Broz to the close” to “let’s look around like we have no idea what happened”.

Having a “celebration” pack would be a good idea, I would definitely consider buying it it.

However, it would have to look nothing like BO3 or people would claim that Halo is being CODified.

I loved the end game animations in the beta. It was the best way to rub a victory in the enemy’s faces!

I’ve got an idea for an end game screen. Okay so think Overwatch and games like it. In it you can choose a victory pose for your Hero for their victory screen. Well it just so happens that Halo already has poses… or stances in this case. So how about for the final card we see the victorious Spartans with their stances? I think it would work out great and would show off the stances that we never see.

I agree, don’t use any dumb moves from right now like dabbing or any kind of dance, that would just be over the top and dumb, but just a more lively celebration. To make it feel like our Spartans are actually excited to pull out a victory after a tough match. As opposed to what we have right now that makes it seem like they all have short term memory loss and completely forgot why they were even at (insert map here) so they play it off by staring into space.

I immediately thought something along the lines of Overwatch victory stances.

Quote from the Community Feedback blog:

“Despite the fact that the intro and victory sequences in particular seemed to be universally loved by Halo bros, we weren’t 100 percent satisfied with the tone of these moments in the game. Expect the final sequences to feature considerably fewer chest bumps and high fives.”

I think they overdid the “considerably fewer” part.:disappointed:

You’re right, when I first read that I was sad but still read it as the high fives would be fewer but there would still be some kind of action going on. What we got was just nothing.

It honestly makes sense to do it that way, we’ve had the stance req’s forever and they don’t do a whole heck of a lot in their current form, but I know people have been asking for an Overwatch style system for a while now and 343 just doesn’t want to bite I guess. That’s why I thought if they made it a bonus pack with brand new animations that it might be more enticing for them.

I think the reason they got rid of them mostly because was all the hatred that came from it. Some YouTubers I watched, they were so hostile, and rude with their feedback.

It wasn’t even constructive. I feel like YouTubers have too much influence on gaming communities.

I personally enjoyed them, and I wouldn’t mind seeing them return.

I thought they were fine tbh. I would really like the Doom emotes lol. They are very funny.

Even better lets just not have an ending scene

I would prefer celebratory animations to be based on your equipped stance. That would make them worth more, considering you can’t see other people’s stances while waiting for a match to load.

Youtubers have a very large impact on gaming. Many people look them up and watch playthroughs on games they are thinking about getting, based on that Youtuber’s feedback. They get earn companies money or prevent said money.

No.
That’s just childish.

I second this. I’d prefer the ending animations be done away with entirely just to prevent unfortunate disconnections or join-in-progress matches.

To be honest it would look way too cheesy for me. The current animation is bad enough as is. Halo multiplayer is supposed to be Spartan super soldiers training not a couple of lads kicking a ball around.

As long as I look cool as hell I’ll take anything.

The idea of post-victory animations returning would add more character to your Spartan, and I respect it. However, as I am not the kind to look down on the other team, I’d personally go for a handshake animation with one of the opposing players (or even the whole team).

Sure it’s a bit archaic, but it lets the other player(s) know that they were a worthy opponent. Plus, it’s a timeless gesture.

Your stance should affect your end of game animation, it would be cooler is the spartans went into whatever pose you chose during the end of game animation.
