Post Game Monetization and Player base Division

Since the halo 5 has been announced, the whole DLC topic has been floating around my head. Downloadable content plagues the AAA multiplayer game industry in its current state with map and content packs. While initially was a relatively good and appealing concept, all they are known to do now is separate bases or waste money.

With Halo 5 slowly approaching, my hope is for 343i to find a smarter and consumer first method to post game monetization than than they have in the past. In my mind the ideal DLC system for Halo 5 to have is a mix between Evolve’s and Project Spark’s, have future developed maps be released for free and have Armour sets be bought for either an in-game currency or real money. In addition 343i could release ‘Forge packs’, additional forge assets for those who are into map building (players who don’t have forge packs could still play on maps with forge pack assets and they could also use the asset in forge mode as long as i was play in the forge space by someone who owns the pack).

If you have any ideas on how halo 5 could be monetized, write below.

I think it would be cool if 343 would offer Something similar to Spartan op(possible prequel style missions from the beginning of the human covenant war, or maybe Chief verses insurrectionist) along with map packs to give some incentive to purchase map packs, or maybe just offer map packs at a reduced price for early access and and free after early access.

Map packs have barely any maps, so they should be either free or $5 MAX.
