Post Carnage Report: What do you want to see?

I thought it would be good to get a thread going about what we like seeing on the post carnage report e.g. statistics, medals.

Personally I’d like to see:

[/li]- Shots hit percentage statistic return

  • Rare medals show up in place of just a high medal count e.g. killtrocity spree type medals should always show in a player top medals section NOT 10 assists or first strike etc.
  • KDR is a good one (no KDR for objective games displayed though by DSight
  • detailed objective stats e.g flags taken count should come back

Anyhow here is some to get us started. I’ll keep the OP up to date to make it easy to reference the best ideas.

From replies:

[/li]- Final Team Scores by Vektor0

  • MVP (most valuable player) by xXBarthXx
  • In game rank (1-50) by an album coverX

Pretty good list so far.

I would like MVP to return.

It wasn’t an important feature, but one that was neat to have and I wouldn’t mind having it return.

Good one, MVP was a sweet addition.

I know this is a bit random but it would be quite cool to see the superintendent from odst give a facial expression in the carnage report to show how well you did

The persons 1-50 rank.
Heat maps
a visual breakdown of kill types by team(10% vehicle, 20% nade 50% Ranged 1% CQC… etc)
leaderboards
global kill count by weapon/vehicle/etc by day/week/all time.

Sword Spree? Cutting Crew? etc

KDR for the match, MVP, present available statistics, and each players weapon of choice for the match.

A big one for me that was missing with Halo 4 was the games top medals. Getting MVP is good, but when you don’t get MVP, there is still a chance you received on of the top medals.

Could be some choice icons from that one. How about Cortana in her various rampancy to playful states. Do bad get rampant Cortana on your back, LOL.

In game rank is a biggie, added to OP.

Each players weapon of choice is in there now, it’s the one with the most kills next to their Spartan, yes?

I think now as you highlight each player there are 4 top medals for each, yes? I think the logic about which medals to show per player needs some work here.

Would it be cool if we had a timeline showing kill/point difference throughout the game. It would be cool to see how much you came back or how many flags you may have capped in a section of the game

I’ve never thought of that but that is actually pretty cool.

I can agree with just about all of this. I used to love the Shot hit % from H2. I would love to see it return.

I’m surprised no one’s mentioned Team Score. Am I the only one who realized this is missing from Halo 4’s in-game Postgame Carnage Report?

Nah I’ve noticed it. Not sure why it would have ever been removed in the first place. Such a simple thing to leave out. Wonder if the game released and 343i was like oh Yoink we did leave that out. Oh well maybe nobody will notice.

Thank you, I was worried why nobody mentioned the most important part of the carnage report.

1st (MVP), 2nd, and 3rd place
Winning Team
Highest Score
Weapon of destruction.

NO KD/R. This will just encourage players to spawn kill instead of playing the objective (if it’s outside of Deathmatch).

I would prefer no KD/R in Objective only, as KD/R is very important in Slayer. If I got 25 kills in Slayer, but we still lost, I want to know who fed the other team kills (even if it was me).

In Objective, you’re right, KD/R only encourages killing while the objective is ignored. At the very most, only display a kill column, but not a death column.

Edit: Didn’t read the parentheses. Disregard.

Huh, surprised I forgot that one. Good one mate, added to OP.

Is it just me or does Halo 4 not show how long the match actually took?

If so, I’d like future games to show how long the match lasted.

Less useless medals.
