I would love to see faster movement than ever seen previously on a halo title. The game doesn’t need to be unreal tournament but I think it would be a nice addition to the franchise. IMO Faster movement speeds upgrade the skill gap.
And not just the over flimsy halo reach ones. I mean the Balanced versions from halo 2
They both had even foward motion, vertical speed was the same. They could both go backwards Both had formidable weaponry, cargo seats for transportation.
Landing gear on the pelican, Easy enough.
Phantom, Landing sequence.
Pelican. Turret, Front and Back.
Phantom. Idk.
Ohh and i almost forgot to mention that halo 2 dropships had boost. Yes Boost. Pelicans had Afterburners which meant speed.
And some sort of forgeworld/ForgeARK So hopefully there will be a need for the boost because speed in halo is actually fun.
Faster running has always amped up gameplay. Going from Halo 3 to Reach makes something like that painfully obvious. I mean, look at what Gears of War 3 managed to do with its game, not only did it crank the speed a touch but also by making its rifle-play relevent, it now has recreated what made the original so much fun; quick, sloppy and chaotic masses of bullets flying everywhere that can turn close combat and medium range gun-fights upside down.
Halo 4 will benefit grealty off of returning to Spartan-II traits and I foresee a volley of new weapons to help close the gap of weapon choices but clearly divide the “ranked” and “social” players. I do have to say, the whole video-game movement of making things mainstream to a point of where anyone can pick up and play is really getting old.
Forge world maps should only be implemented into social gametypes. 343 should not release any maps that are created in the same forge settings that the community has. Forge is only for the players to build maps.
> Big maps. Throughout Halo’s history, I believe the biggest maps have been consistently amazing in each and every game.
I highly disagree with that statement. Big maps belong in big team battle. Keep them out of anything 4v4 or less. Big maps are more for fun and not for competitive play IMO
Interactive maps, even though they weren’t in alot of halo maps, if you look at longshore in halo 3 you can prees a button and open a bridge, stuff like that is small but it is cool and adds depth to the map and other ways to interact with the map (no destructible environments) would be great
I would also like more then one map descined for forging only and each one would have different land formations like one could be regular grass lands and a beach and one could be snowy mountain and winding caves not all one big map
Better/more powerful weapons, especially the automatics- better assault rifle that kills fast and makes it frustrating for someone with a target weapon to kill you.
