I’m aware that there won’t be an open beta, but perhaps a downloadable trial?
I’m not sure why there would be a purchase option for a build designed for local play at E3, so I thought that perhaps 343 would release a trial for 1000 MSP or something like that in the coming months.
To be honest, I never would have gotten into Halo if someone hadn’t loaded the Halo PC trial onto my school’s computers. It could be a good way to attract new players.

Curious I don’t know about it. Why does it say Play Trial on that menu in the video?
I noticed this whilst watching it live, maybe it was put in there for the keen eye to spot. A hint of a trial maybe?
doubtful they have it there for devs and other importent people to have access instantly instead of making discs or only using one xbox. a good example would be raams shadow from gears 3. it was placed on the market before release but required a limited amount of MSP. (infact it was -9000000000000000) they enter a spasific code to have access to download it.
Glad i wasn’t the only one who saw this thought my eyes were playing tricks you know wishful thinking. Maybe its a Campaign Demo? Somebody should try posting this on Neogaf
Maybe when it releases it will have a trial along side it for those not quite sure. It is hard to tell anything though from these sorts of events …there is so much that can change…it would be a cool if they did it for those on the fence though. I will be a day one purchaser, myself.
you do know that full games can be purchased via xbl marketplace and stored on your hard drive so that you don’t need a disc right? (I.E: you can purchase halo reach on xbl marketplace for like 50-60 dollars) its probably so you can buy it and just store it on your hard drive instead of having a hard copy of it. (when it comes out of course)and the trial would be to test the gameplay before you make a final decision to buy it. its not something that is gonna be available before release.
