So I got thinking, with a few clans out there still recruiting on this game; it would be a good idea to do a tournament to help bring the community on this game together.
For those reading: I’ve seen quite a few clans still on matchmaking, yet I rarely run into clans that occupy all the slots on the enemy team. Some clans like to do custom games a lot, some like to do assassination tower a lot. (Yes seriously, that’s a thing AT clans…) What I’m looking for are clans that are willing to take part in a tournament or even more. I’d even be tempted to offer prizes if there are enough participants. This would also help those clans that are dependant on ranking up via clan battles. I know they exist because I was once in a clan that had that dependancy.
Also things to note:
- Leave behind on here the following. Clan Name - Point(s) of Contact - Tournament dates should be on weekends and aim to get as many matches done as possible. - Tournament is single elimination (link will soon be on challonge.com) - All matches played are best of 3 games. - All members on the team MUST stay in at all times unless a substitution is declared in game. Also no friends list pull ins. What I mean by that is a clan that invites a friend that isn’t in their clan to fill in a space(s) to pad out the team. It shows that members don’t have commitment to the match. I’ve seen this happen a lot. - If the poll goes to 4v4 being winner, then team slayer maps (TU DMR Settings on First to 50) will be in play. Boardwalk, Reflection, Sword Base, Uncaged, Asylum, Pinnacle, Imago, Ellul, Precipice, Enclosed, Treasury, Synapse, Renova, Think Twice, Affinity and Eden Minor. - If the poll goes to 6v6 being winner, then the Invasion Circuit is played. (Invasion Slayer and Skirmish gametypes are also included). Boardwalk, Countdown, Spire, Hemorrhage, Paradiso, Boneyard, Breakpoint (if all have noble dlc), Broadcast, Floodgate, Refinery and Overgrowth will all be in play. - If the poll goes to 8v8 being winner then BTB Maps will be in play. BTB Slayer, 2 Flag, Assault, Neutral Bomb and Territories. This means no heavies, no btb snipers, no 1 Bomb / 1 Flag. Boardwalk, Boneyard, Spire, Breakpoint (if all have noble dlc), Hemorrhage, Paradiso, Utopie, Abridged, Wayont, Trident and Renegade. - Clan match hosts must then post the scores either on here or on challonge.com discussion page related to this topic once match is finished.Let me know what you guys think to this idea and hope to get a lot of interest. My clan will take part in this too. Hope to get good or even constructive feedback.

Yh don’t worry about it not being elites man. Going to be tu slayer, so no elites. I’ve always done matches spartans only anyway.

Not counting Invasion, no you have not. I have faced your full lobby 2 times, i think, and everytime you’ve selected TU Btb elite slayer. I have a BTB game against your lobby in my Reach fileshare to prove this

Okay yh on matchmaking we have played as elites. However in clan matches/ tournament matches, there will be no elites in the tournament if the format is 4v4 or 8v8.

Looks like we’re having a classic 4v4 tournament then! Whoever voted put your clan name down and point of contact. You can also enter multiple teams in your own clan just to make things interesting.
