Back in February (or maybe January) Unyshek announced that firefight will be receiving an overhaul this year. Mythic will be made a permanent offering, legendary will get axed, and heroic will have increased XP payout to match legendary payout. At the time it was to be released within in a few weeks, but covid has delayed those plans. Uny announced that updates to heroic FF required further testing only possible in the studio. That’s fine and dandy (people def need to stay safe in this time of pandemic), but I was hoping that Mythic could be made permanent in the mean time. Playlist rotations from a players perspective seem quite possible as they routinely update the featured playlists weekly and I’m assuming they can just make Mythic permanent in a similar fashion. When the weekend ends and I return to grinding in legendary FF it just feels like a crushing blow to pace to 152.
If it’s possible to make Mythic a permanent playlist without having to take any risks with covid i ask the team to please do so. I have no idea what it’s like on their end to make it happen, but they regularly update the playlists in quarantine so I hope it’s possible. If not oh well, the confirmation that it isn’t would still be comforting.
March Community Update
> If you missed the news in my last Community Update, we’ll be making a few changes to our Warzone Firefight offerings in the future. However, before we can push these changes live, we’d need to go to the studio and make sure everything is working properly in our test lab environment. As the safety of our team and community comes first, this change will likely have to wait until the coronavirus pandemic is a behind us. Read more on the upcoming changes here:
