Interesting, certainly that actor has more information than the rest of us do, but he is not privy to all the relevant information. Him saying “Should be ready to go this spring” does not indicate when the game will actually be released, just as the article says.

I hope so. I’m saving for a One S so I can finally play a multiplayer at launch…

If its not complete then i really dont want it. At this point enough of the fan base has already accepted the fact it may be next Holiday season. To me at least, that is a blessing and gift from the community for the Dev’s at 343i to take and use the time to perfect this game.

If the game is truly ready and finished in Spring 2021, I am okay with it. But if they plan to releases patches after the Spring release (like ray tracing patch), then might as well release the game on Holiday. All the contents need to be available on Day 1.
I really would love for this game to get a 90+ (if not 93+) on Metacritic so that way it can compete with TLOU 2, God of War, Horizon Forbidden West, Spider Man, Demon Souls. Sony takes their time for their games. MS and 343 should do the same.
I just hope it’s a masterpiece. Especially in story telling.
My guess is a spring release is possible, but they are probably gonna push it back to fall.
To expand on my earlier post, I would also add that if they have ‘extra’ time, they could do 1 or 2 betas spread out. They could use the feedback and improve further on the game. If even possible, lets make this game bring Halo back to its former GLORY!!!
Yes, a beta is necessary in my opinion. Not to mention we’ve been promised that all future games will have beta tests. Hopefully 343 has actually learned their lesson here.

I actually might backtrack a bit here…IF and this is a big IF the HaloxFortnite collab is the real deal, then the Spring/Summer release would make the most sense and heres why:
The masses that play Fortnite will see Master Chief running around the map and ask “Who is that?”. Then jump to the F2P aspect of Infinite and give it a try. Although the theory is sound, it kind of goes out the window without the game being available. This may be the reason 343i may be pushing for a Spring/Summer release as well. Those who play Fortnite aren’t going to wait 6+ months to try out Infinite if it launches Holiday 2021. They need to strike the iron while its hot sort-of-speak.
Furthermore some of the more followed Streamers are OG Halo fans who will undoubtedly be purchasing the skins. We all know how people love to follow these days and especially follow trends so this would increase Halo’s time in the spotlight as well…and their revenue undoubtedly from the purchase of said skins in Fortnite. From my understanding the new season in Fortnite starts Mid-March.
Makes me actually think that they may be going for a Spring/Summer release now instead of Holiday but I honestly still hope for Holiday 2021.

But maybe more. A motion capture actor saying something “should be ready” should not be reason to mark your calendars.
This should only be treated as giving us a glimpse at a light at the end of the tunnel, but we are so much in the dark that we don’t know how long the tunnel is. For all we know the light is a train barreling down on us.
