*Possible Spoilers* Who is Chief's nemesis?

So with the news released this week I think we can be fairly certain that the Storm Covenant will be led by Jul’Mdama.

Now I know many forum goers speculate that Jul will be the ‘Chief’s Nemesis’ and although there is some evidence to support this I personally feel that its way to obvious a move. And although Jul has more reason than most to hate humanity I don’t see any specific link with him and the Chief.

My speculations are that it isn’t the Didact, Jul or Promethean’s (not sure which coloured faction supports who) that will be chiefs nemesis but a fourth player. Possibly flood or Faber, The Master Builder.

Anyway, what do you think?

Discuss.

Take a look at this

and the achievement list of mission 8

The 8th level of Halo 4 is called Composer. Thoughts? I thought this would be an interesting thing to bring up.

THIS is exactly what I am talking about.

However, far more likely is that ‘The Composer’ will save Cortana in some way. But who really knows? He could take Cortana and make her evil…That would be an epic Nemesis if a little sad.

Just his presence alone (if only confirmed by the level name) suggest other payers.

DO you think he is the Nemesis?

I would place the Antagonist structure as:

Jul’Mdama - Dragon/Nemesis
Didact - Big Bad
?Ancient Evil? (Presumed) - Bigger Bad/Archvillain possibly

I hope that 343I aren’t cheap enough to kill any one of them off in the first installment on the Reclaimer Trilogy. The Didact is too awesome, and Jul has had too much fleshing out of a back story to appear for one game which he is to die.

It will probably be the Didact to begin with as the central antagonist half way through, with the Forerunners becoming allies/masters of the Storm, in which Jul could probably answer to the Didact, which might cause something of a conflict.

Jul wanted an ally, not a master; the obvious way that Didact might command ‘primitive’ warriors, and they’ll probably clash over some morals. Jul wants nothing more than Humanity vanquished, but the Didact is probably a whole lot more complicated.

I doubt the Composer would be anywhere near a nemesis. Most likely, the Composer may have sufficient physical defenses to guard itself only, but a entity which sole purpose is conversion of organic minds to format and such, probably doesn’t have much of personality, much less even a way to move about.

The Composer is probably just another minion of the Didact.

Has it been confirmed that the ‘Ancient Evil’ is Didact?

Perhaps, perhaps not but it’s no mere coincidence that this level is named after the Composer. Which leads to me to believe that the Composer will play some part in the plot for Halo 4. That’s all i am saying really.

@ Hex: Didact will be playing a major part in Halo 4 but the Ancient Evil itself hasn’t been elaborated on.

It could be Precursors or (what i hope it is) is something entirely different that we’ve never seen the Halo universe before.

This leaves quite a bit to ponder. Too many things  I’d just be taking shots in the dark on this topic.

It’s mysterious. I mean, it’s even difficult just to guess how it would play a role in halo 4.

Maybe it was used to transfer organic forerunners into the incarnations we see in halo 4. In reference to the knights.

Maybe it will help cortana with her rampancy?

I don’t know of it being an enemy though. It really doesn’t feel like it would be.

Jul definitely isn’t Chiefs nemesis, he probably doesn’t even know who he is. It is more likely the Didact and he will be the bad guy for Halo 4. Then it all gets sorted out and the Precursors show up.

> Has it been confirmed that the ‘Ancient Evil’ is Didact?

Nope. Only speculation.

There are alzo many supported theories that show the Precursors as the more like Ancient Evil.

I like this explanation behind the origin of the Knights. It totally fits and is kinda dark thinking about it. Losing your physical form (by force, not by choice) for some sort of…weird pseudo organic machines that you may not have full control of your mind and may be taking orders from a higher power without question or hesitation (I.E Didact).

Just speculation though.

“An unspecified time after the war, another, severely damaged fragment of Guilty Spark was discovered by a UNSC science team and taken aboard their ship. The science team proceeded to query the ancient human on the Didact and the historical nature of Forerunner-human relations. The damaged monitor then told the humans the story of his life and how he was transformed into a monitor.[8] While telling his story, the monitor constantly made breaches through the ship’s firewalls, in order to access the humans’ historical and paleontological records, which greatly frustrated and distressed the UNSC personnel. After the monitor had finished, it shut down completely and was ejected into space by order of the ONI team commander. However, Spark had inconspicuously transferred his data stream into the ship’s system, and soon took over the entire ship, planning to use it and its crew in his quest to find the Librarian, who he claimed to know was still alive after examining and studying her fate for the last 100,000 years.”

Two possible players.

Librarian and 343 guilty spark.

The Composer isn’t a character, it’s a device. And the Didact is the Nemesis, I thought that was obvious.

The Composer hasn’t been confirmed to be anything. It could be anything at this point.
