Possible splitscreen for Halo Guardians? Good/Bad?

I have been wondering if 343 Industries could add split screen for multiplayer. I’ve heard some of my friends complain and fight about taking turns on Halo 5. Some other people I know just want to play multiplayer at the same time in the same game their cousins/siblings play. I happen to be one of those people. I think a lot more people would enjoy Halo 5 if there was split screen in multiplayer. This way, people could play on the same screen while they fight other people in Arena/Warzone. A good example of what I mean is on Halo 4. Many of the people I know have to play Halo 4 so they could play with their friends as well as their cousins/siblings at the same time. Unfortunately, the people who play Halo 4, know how awesome Halo 5 is and they don’t have that split screen option. Some people would say, “Why don’t they just keep playing Halo 4 then?” Answer: Would you want to play Halo 4 instead of Halo 5? I know I wouldn’t. You don’t get the awesome boost, ground and pound, stabilize, and Clambering abilities you get on Halo 5. You also don’t get the great armor customization, the different assassinations, and Req weapons and vehicles that are available in Halo 5.

I would like to know what you guys think. Is this a good idea? Yes/No and why. I would also like to know how many of you guys agree with me.

It may be hard if not technically impossible to do so based on how the game was built. I do think they are considering it for Halo 6 though considering the backlash.

Split screen won’t happen for h5, they’ll try for h6. If they really wanted to add splitscreen it would’ve happened already (although maybe not, it is 343 after all).

This is where you should post.

“Some” people? I think that the story is the one place where the majority of - if not the entire - Halo community is finally united in agreeing on the same thing: It was bad. To be honest, it wouldn’t have been as bad if they stuck to the marketing behind Halo 5 rather than dropping most of it (e.g. MC phoning up the Infinity and telling him where he’s going in the first mission…)

Xbox one’s hardware can barely keep up to 60fps 1080p and may downscale to 720p when it needs to, 343 made some sacrifices in order to maintain that 60fps which of course includes the removal of split screen.

We may see split screen make a return along with those sacrifices when the Xbox Scorpio comes out next year.
