In Warzone when one team takes down a boss, multiple players get credit for the takedown depending on the last plethora of shots. However, the other team often feels like they should have acquired the takedown. Using that same idea, if 343i could come up with an algorithm that split the game points for the boss takedown between both teams when its too close to call as well as the individual player stat points credited to players of both teams. I think this would relieve the anxiety of feeling like you got screwed over on the takedown as both a team, and an individual. I also think it would make the games more competitive and overall more fun.
Sadly 343 has already stated that the system in place for boss kills is here to stay. I don’t know if it is a matter of whether they can’t or won’t change it, regardless of the opinions in the forums.
343 prefers this last shot all-or-nothing approach, sadly. Which is frustrating because it frequently becomes a random distribution of points.
My solution has always been: prorate the first 100 points of the boss based on damage (your team does 75% of damage, you get 75 points and other team gets 25) and the final 50 points go to last shot. Makes the points equitable based on damage and still provides the incentive to get that last shot.

I have made that suggestion so many times (Not exact wording maybe) and a lot of people tend to agree and said the same thing. But again, 343’s stance on it is a bit frustrating. I don’t know really understand why that is, but it does tend to make using REQs to take down a boss a less viable option if the damage you deal to them amount to nothing if that final shot is not used in the instance of its defeat.
Yeah well lets keep making noise about it in the forum and the proper feedback channels they offer because they said they were going to be much more proactive in their community outreach as well as there updates. It would make Warzone a lot more fun I don’t know how they can’t see that. I like what Rune174 highlighted that really puts things into perspective "it does tend to make using REQs to take down a boss a less viable option if the damage you deal to them amount to nothing if that final shot is not used in the instance of its defeat." Using Reqs is the whole point of the game and you use it just to take down the enemy for someone else is frustrating so there needs to be some more logical distribution wether it was what I mentioned or what Longhorn1011 mentioned. I still love Warzone but it can definitely be better and 343i has to know that. I have faith they will make a change if we make enough noise now that they are going to be more proactive.
Nope… it’s fine the way it is IMO…

except the system is broken some times you get a boss kill even if you don’t attack it. The same happened with spartans a little more often.
