343 Industries, may I recommend a solution for alleviating the rage against Join In Progress?
If some of the team quits because they are losing bad, perhaps the rest of the team can “concede” the match, thus making the game end immediately as a way to prevent forcing additional new players to come into a game for which they almost certainly will lose.
Or…
If certain criteria is met (e.g., point spread is already 2:1 and the winning team already has earned 300 out of 600 points), then anyone who joins will not have the results counted against them.
It won’t stop all the rage against JIP, but either of these two options will certainly help. Personally I like the first one. I hate getting into a match that has no hope once people leave and having to simply wait until it is over.
I don’t have a big problem with JiP. I do like that you are trying to offer a solution to what can be a problem. I remember a particular JiP, in which it was at the very end of the match and I got a grand total of about 250 credits with the double XP token. I was rather upset about that one.
On the flip side though I have joined matches where my team was loosing and I helped pull the team to a win.
The reason I don’t mind the JiP as much as some is that I have had so many games in Halo 3, and Reach where half my team would bail out which made the rest of the match about pointless, especially objective games.
Yeah I think a “surrender” option would be nice. I’d also love a vote to boot option too for people who AFK, but the Halo community is a bunch of immature yoinks and I know it would be abused.
the reason of jip is when you start a match and at the 3 minutes someone quits i neverminded to go on a jip where the games is like 70 - 40 my solution would be that you cant jip games that are under 7 minutes of time or over 65% of socore to win and everyone is happy if ur team quits u can still get a guy uless he quits at the end but in that case it would not really matter cause the match is almost over
