We all know now that Infinite will have a open world exploration aspect to it, that being said an open world game just like mass effect isnt too far fetched if you think about it. The game or games story line can revolve around the the mid to late 2530s-The Cole Protocol. You’re an oni agent who is tasked to go out and instil the protocol to the outer colonies. You encounter foes etc and meet persons of interest who you can offer a hand to your team. Every decision you make can or could affect the game and outcome. Upgrade skills tab/customization for you and your team/purchase or upgrade oni-unsc grade ships to assist you on your quests/ side quests (side logs)
The possibility is endless…
Yeah I was thinking about how awesome it would be to have a Witcher like structure with the side quests and open world, level based, aspect to it - but set in the Halo universe. I am very interested to see the open world aspect of Infinite.
Something like The Elder Scrolls Online could be a way. Choose to create a Spartan/marine/ODST/Insurrectionist/Elite/Brute etc. character and participate in a stream of corresponding events with constant updates, you know. Though they seem to be focused on Infinite for the next decade, and if they cannot diverge enough talent to ensure such a RPG/MMO, or if they could but at the price of major Halo games’ quality, then I’d rather they not try this.
