Possible role for Blue Team?

In Halo: Escalation we have all seen the reappearance of John’s old comrades: Kelly, Fred and Linda. So I think it’s very likely that they might show up in Halo 5. As I don’t think 343 would kill them in some other Halo media before the release of the game (just like they did with Black Team). That would anger a lot of fans (including me). Mostly because we never really had a chance to see a Spartan-II in-game besides the Master Chief. And it would be cool to see a TEAM of Spartan-IIs kicking -Yoink- in-game.

I think their inclusion would also be an advantage gameplay-wise, as they could be co-op characters (at least at specific missions in the campaign).

But if they came back what would be their role? I don’t think they’re with the Chief as what we know so far is that he’s gone AWOL ALONE (the first trailer represents this as well). So will they help Locke to find him? (I think it’s unlikely because the other Spartans in Locke’s team seem to be S-IVs). Or maybe they’ll try to find him by themselves? (I guess it’s just as unlikely). Or they could have an entirely different role (if they’ll even have one). Also whose side would they take? Would they help their old friend even if that would take disobeying direct orders? Or would they help capturing or even killing John?

So my question is: What do you think about Blue Team currently? What could be their further role in Halo 5? Or what role would you like to see for them?

In the last comic of the 72 hours arc, Chief, Linda, Fred, and Kelly all take off together. And Locke has three Spartans with him as well in the H2A scenes. Those are speculated to be Buck, Romeo, and Mercer (lady from Nightfall).

So what it kinda looks like might be a confrontation between 4 Spartan IVs and 4 Spartan IIs.

Yeah, Chief was with his teammates at the end of Escalation, but in the trailers and other soruces they never mentioned the others missing with him (of course it can still be possibble). But that 4 S-II vs 4 S-IV fight would be EPIC! They would literally play Team Slayer LOL
