I was playing Halo 5 Warzone Firefight last night and noticed the boss round of Promethean Knights were called Harbingers and in the end of the Halo Infinite gameplay reveal Escharum says The Banished and The Harbinger share the same goal. Could this mean the Prometheans return in Halo Infinite? I have screenshots and video of it for anyone who’s wondering. Anyway I’d like to hear what you all have to say about this.
It could…I’d like to have every enemy we’ve ever faced off against in the franchise eventually make its way into Infonite. As long as it doesn’t jeopardize the story or leave big holes in the plot…

I agree, that could be really fun as long as all of the weapons and enemies are rebalanced.

Yeah that heatseaker gun is some BS…absolutely hate it in Mythic FF.

to be honest I think it would be interesting to see brutes and Prometheans work together. but maybe they hid that in there on purpose.
High probability that we will at least gain some closure on Prometheans if they are not directly in the game. Also, there is a new book that looks to have a Promethean Soldier on the cover.

Hmmmmmm, I thought that was 343 Guilty Spark on the cover

Yeah maybe, after all they have worked together in the past.
I hope not, cause the Prometheans were such a pain as enemies - not that kinda pain that they are hard to beat or annoying like legendary Jackal Halo 2 Sniper but more just kinda… bad enemies.

Yeah, I get that. If they do return they’ll most likely be rebalanced. 343 Has shown us they understand how to rebalance the enemies and weapons. For example the AR and Elites. In the Halo Infinite Gameplay Trailer shooting the AR at an Elite needs to followed up with a melee, like in Halo CE.
To be honest, I doubt it. The Prometheans are working with Cortana, and in current lore, the Banished are scared of the Created. I am personally betting on Mendicant Bias being the Harbinger. Other possibilities are Didact (which I doubt), another Covenant faction (likely), UNSC traitors (which would be interesting), or Insurrectionists.

I like the idea of Mendicant Bias being the Harbinger. The UNSC traitors could be very interesting too.

They will most likely appear in the game at some point since Cortana is still in power, although she may be somewhat sidelined.
If the flood are not returning in this game, I don’t want prometheans.
If the flood are returning, then I really want to see what a Knight’s blade and scattershot would do to that flood fodder. I want to see what a Soldier’s light rifle and suppressor can do to infection forms. I want to see those annoying Crawlers tackle a pure form and chop it up with their little jaws. But most of all, I want to see the Created fail underneath the rising threat of the classic galactic terror. And potentially, Chief and Escharum strike a deal to destroy the Created and the Flood in one fell swoop. While the ancient force of nature attempts to consume, and the modern force of technology attempts to control, the UNSC and Banished come in from the sidelines and kill them both for good.
If the flood don’t return, then don’t give me more prometheans, or at the least, very limited promethean firefights. I can’t imagine the prometheans being any different of an experience than they were in 4 and 5.
A synonym for harbinger is forerunner, just sayin. May not be the created per say but maybe we get another sneaky character who was unceremoniously kicked off a bridge.

Cant be 343 guilty spark as you kill him in halo 3 right after he takes sgt johnson out
It would be stupid and make no sense if promethians didnt appear in halo infinite/6 especially since they were awoken in halo 4 and were around in halo 5, working alongside Cortana! So yes i think at some point they will be around Cortana and Warden Eternal shpuld make a appearance at some point other wise its just more plot holes which 343 really need to avoid after all the stuff they missed out between halo 4 and 5 (unless you read there books and listened to there little voice clips or watched there short live action stuff) plot holes in there games for the sake of marketing! Really annoyed me!
I hope the Prometheans return in infinite. They haven’t really been given a fair shot in the enemy sandbox imo for a variety of reasons but have a lot of potential
I think it’s pretty likely the Prometheans will be in the game to some extent. I mean, the last two mainline games have been heavily focused on them and that fight isn’t finished yet.

It may be guilty spark, at first glance it certainly looks like a soldier from H5, especially with the Light Rifle.
