At the end of the level The Silent Cartographer as soon as you have killed the golden elite if you walk out on to the ledge you should see a grunts mask perched on the ledge and this only appears in the new graphics and on legendary difficulty. It might appear on other difficulties but I only saw it on my legendary playthrough. I am Posting this on an easter egg site to see if it gets approved. here are a few pics below
Once you kill the Elite and go there, you kick the Mask off the edge of the platform in a cutscene.
It was there in the original.

I allready done the cutscene earlier in the level and it never showed up after so i went on my way as normal then i got to the map room and came back up to the top it was there and i was able to get close to it throw a grenade at it and hit it.

Probably just a bug were it comes back.

But it doesnt show up in the classic graphics only then new graphics.
That’s part of a cut-scene, not an Easter Egg (the cut-scenes are supposed to be different in Anniversary mode.)

I know its in the cutscene but my point is your not supposed to be able to walk right up to it like im doing right?
it could be a glitch but im just wondering wether anyone else would try and see if it is there
I always thought it was just a rock.

It was some sort of rock in the original.
Yeah it was a rock in the original. I guess they changed it so it makes somewhat more sense.
it was just a glitch that it let you do that, my first play thru, it didn’t show the cut scene on HALO when you activate the bridge
