Possible new drawback for PV!

Look at the players radar:

See that red wave expanding towards the player? When you use PV you send out a pulse wave which after hitting enemy player shows his movement through walls. I think enemy is able to see that wave just like in that video.

Wave appears again at 9:11. I think it’s safe to say that it’s PV.

What do you think about this change?

If this is old news then just ingore this thread.

I’ve notice that too. If that’s the case that mean you cant use PV to tag long range targets.
Honestly the way people have been going on about PV i doubt they actually know, or realize this

Ooooh! Very nice find! Now I’m not even going to bother to worry about it because I know exactly when and technically where someone used it! Great!

Very nice find! I can’t believe someone noticed that! This is definitely a good way of letting you know if you’re being targeted by PV. I like it.

Win thread is win. Nice eye Op, can’t believe I never SAW that.

nice find baba

Thank you. It feels so great to finally be the first to post something new.

why don’t I see it?

Look at the radar.

got it! thanks! very nice find.

Is it against forum rules to bump another persons thread?
Oh well, just in case it is…

I’m just going to post in this thread again saying how great of a find it is. In hopes of the thread staying around a bit longer so all the people saying PV is OP can see this…

Nice find. It’s good to finally see how PV users are detected by other players.

Good find man. Here’s a cookie for your effort. (::slight_smile:

Interesting. Very interesting.

Okay, cool. It shows that it’s being used, just like it was back when it was a small red beam coming from the players face. Now, I ask of you, “What does this red bar across my radar do for me in order to avoid being seen through a wall?!?!”

The fact of the matter still remains that PV lets the user look through walls and spot information about every other player - where they are, what they’re hiding behind, what weapon they have, what direction they’re facing, etc.

This stupid little “red beam” on my radar does absolutely nothing to limit them from seeing me. They still see me; what do they care that I know the general direction of them? If I get sniped, I know the general direction of the sniper, but I have no idea where they are.

While they put this into the game, I still see no “drawbacks” to this AA.

So not so over powered then?

> So not so over powered then?

IMO it was never OP and I hope that more people realise that when they see this.

Also thx iGamerNewb for reviving this thread.

> While they put this into the game, I still see no “drawbacks” to this AA.

The drawback is that you cannot use another AA. All of the AA’s seem to give you pretty good advantages, the drawback to each of them is that you can only have one at a time.

PV is no more overpowered than any other AA.

That’s a nice find! I like it, in fact I might use PV a bit now that I won’t have to feel like a Yoink doing so!

I can see through walls. That’s as close to a “hack” or “mod” as you’re going to get in a game such as Halo. It’s ridiculous to think that the little “jump jet” or whatever it is that boosts you forward is as powerful as PV.
