I watched the panels at Halo Fest but in the multiplayer panel for Anniversary i cant remember which maps they said they weren’t going to make! Was Sidewinder one of them? I reaaaally hope that they do that map!

They won’t remake maps that are currently playable in any form on the Xbox 360, and Sidewinder was reincarnated as Avalanche in Halo 3, so it is unlikely that they would remake it.
The Anniversary maps are:
-Headlong
-Prisoner
-Timberland
-Hang 'em High
-Beaver Creek
-Damnation
-Installation 04 (FireFight)
Nothing more, nothing less.

was hoping for boarding action but cant have everything I think it had ladders anyway didnt it? those are lpng gone, pretty happy with these maps too though

I thought avalanche was a cool map, but it was way different when compared to Sidewinder. It basically just seems like avalanche wasn’t necessarily a remake of sidwinder, but more so that it was inspired by sidwinder. 343 is giving the maps in CEA a different treatment. They’re basically remaking the maps with new additions, but they also have a different variation of each map to pretty much exactly duplicate the original. Personally, I’d like to see that treatment with sidewinder… But like you said, it probably won’t happen. Sad day.
